Background: Gallbladder cholesterol polyp (GCP) and gallbladder adenoma (GA) are easily confused in clinical diagnosis. This study aims to establish a nomogram prediction model for preoperative prediction of the risk of GA patients.
Study Design: We retrospectively collected clinical data of GCP or GA patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) between January 2020 and April 2023.
Background: Pyroptosis is closely associated with chemotherapeutic drugs and immune response. Here, we investigated whether oxaliplatin, a key drug in FOLFOX-hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (FOLFOX-HAIC), induces pyroptosis in hepatoma cells and enhances antitumor immunity after tumor cell death.
Methods: Hepatoma cells were treated with oxaliplatin.
Machine learning offers a promising avenue for expediting the discovery of new compounds by accurately predicting their thermodynamic stability. This approach provides significant advantages in terms of time and resource efficiency compared to traditional experimental and modeling methods. However, most existing models are constructed based on specific domain knowledge, potentially introducing biases that impact their performance.

Liquid absorbents have received considerable attention in carbon capture for engineering applications, due to their high flexibility, reliability, and recyclability. Nonetheless, the existing technologies of liquid CO capture suffer from various issues that cannot be ignored, such as corrosion, elevated costs, and pronounced secondary pollution.

In this study, we aimed to disclose how LINC01089 functions in human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC) osteogenic differentiation, and to study the mechanism by which LINC01089 regulates MSC osteogenesis.
Methods: Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) and western blotting were performed to analyze LINC01089, miR-1287-5p, and heat shock protein family A (HSP70) member 4 (HSPA4) expression.
Background: Wind-cold (WC) and Wind-heat (WH) are common syndromes of upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs) in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), presenting different clinical features, but the transcriptomic changes associated with these syndromes remained unclear.
Materials And Methods: Patients with WC and WH syndromes were recruited from outpatient unit, pharyngeal swabs were collected for pathogen detection. Peripheral blood samples were obtained on day 1 and day 6, with healthy volunteers as controls.
Paleogeographic reconstructions are of key importance for understanding the history of continental breakups and amalgamations during Earth's history. A special case is the history of the Asian continent, which, compared to other continents, consists of several large cratons and numerous smaller continental blocks. The history of the assembly of South China remains controversial in terms of the timing, Late Neoproterozoic or Early Paleozoic, and the participating continental blocks, e.

However, their influence on the composition and function of the tumor microenvironment is not well understood. We aimed to investigate the influence of sex disparities on the proliferation and accumulation of macrophages, one of the major components of the tumor microenvironment, in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

Aims: To explore the mediating mechanism of activities of daily living and depression on different sleep durations and cognitive function in older Chinese older adults.
Methods: This retrospective study used data from 5,899 older adults who completed the 2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Surveys.
Background: Levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) in immunotherapy (CRAFITY) scores are associated with the prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aimed to explore the efficacy of lenvatinib and pembrolizumab (Len-P) based on the CRAFITY score.
Methods: In this study, 228 patients with HCC who received Len-P in Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center were included.
Introduction: Gastric cancer (GC) is a common malignant tumor, and early diagnosis significantly improves patient survival rates. This study aimed to investigate the diagnostic value of ring finger protein 180 (RNF180) and secreted frizzled protein 2 (SFRP2) in GC.
Materials & Methods: A total of 165 healthy individuals, 34 patients with precancerous gastric lesions, and 104 patients with confirmed GC were divided into training and validation sets; methylated RNF180 and SFRP2 were detected in circulating DNA from blood samples.
Rationale: Cervical gastric-type adenocarcinoma shows gastric differentiation, and the tumor cell morphology appears benign and unrelated to human papillomavirus, which makes cervical gastric-type adenocarcinoma highly susceptible to misdiagnosis as normal glandular epithelium in cytologic diagnosis.
Patient Concerns: We present 3 cases of gastric-type adenocarcinoma, with the first being a 57-year-old female with abnormal uterine bleeding and fluid drainage. The second patient was a 63-year-old female, and the third was a 59-year-old female with irregular vaginal bleeding after menopause.
In the context of environmental deterioration and people's growing environmental protection awareness, governments or regions have put forward corresponding carbon emission reduction policies. Among them, the carbon trading mechanism, as an effective means to promote enterprises to implement emission reduction measures, plays a crucial role in regulating enterprise behavior and promoting social sustainable development. Since various industries and sectors support each other in social and economic development, it is more reasonable to study the carbon emission reduction optimization decisions of society and enterprises from the perspective of the supply chain.

To enhance optical performance and working efficiency, the synthesis and applications of AuNCs are suggested to be merged with emerging substrates. Herein, glutathione-modified hydrophilic rice papers are incubated in chloroauric acid aqueous solutions, and the oxidation-reduction reaction between glutathione and Au ions enables the formation of fluorescent AuNCs on the solid fibres of rice papers.

This study selected soil and black shale bedrock samples from high geological background areas to investigate the control of heavy metal element pollution by bedrock using spatial analysis. The research results indicate that the heavy metal content in black shale bedrock is extremely high, ranging from 2.

However, the etiology of these protein hydrolysis characteristics, whether caused by extracellular proteinases (EP) or cell envelope proteinases (CEP), has been puzzling researchers. In this study, third-generation Nanopore whole genome sequencing and proteomics analysis were used to unravel the root cause of the aforementioned confusion.

Although most studies have focused on graphene and plasmonic metal nanostructures, layered transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), particularly MoS, have recently garnered considerable attention due to their semiconducting and electrocatalytic characteristics. Herein, we report a new approach for the synthesis of chiral molybdenum sulfide nanomaterials based on a bottom-up synthesis method in the presence of chiral cysteine enantiomers.
