20-Hydroxyecdysone (20E) is an arthropod hormone which is synthesized by some plants as part of their defense mechanism. In humans, 20E has no hormonal activity but possesses a number of beneficial pharmacological properties including anabolic, adaptogenic, hypoglycemic, and antioxidant properties, as well as cardio-, hepato-, and neuroprotective features. Recent studies have shown that 20E may also possess antineoplastic activity.

There are different treatment approaches for these conditions, such as initial treatment of the aneurysm before revascularization of the stenosis; single-stage endovascular treatment of both lesions; stenosis eliminating followed by treatment of the aneurysm, or without treating the aneurysm. But, taking into account the risk of aneurysm rupture on the one hand and the risk of ischemic stroke on the other, it is sometimes difficult to choose the right management strategy.

We present a deep convolutional neural network for breast cancer screening exam classification, trained, and evaluated on over 200000 exams (over 1000000 images). Our network achieves an AUC of 0.895 in predicting the presence of cancer in the breast, when tested on the screening population.

The efficacy and safety of prolonged-release melatonin 2 mg in the treatment of glucose, lipid metabolism, and sleep was studied in 36 type 2 diabetic patients with insomnia (11 men, 25 women, age 46-77 years).
Methods: In a randomized, double-blind, crossover study, the subjects were treated for 3 weeks (period 1) with prolonged-release melatonin or placebo, followed by a one-week washout period, and then crossed over for another 3 weeks (period 2) of treatment with the other preparation.
Sapropel was tested for its effect on the permeability of erythrocytic membranes and on the erythrocytic and serum levels of ceruloplasmin, malonic dialdehyde, and dienic conjugates in rats after acute poisoning by carbofos, a malathion insecticide. The increased processes of free radical oxidation during carbofos poisoning were suggested by the higher rates of chemiluminescence of erythrocytes and peripheral blood serum. No significant changes in the parameters of blood oxidative stress in the carbofos-poisoned animals during therapeutic-and-prophylactic use of sapropel indicate that the latter has antioxidative properties.
