Coilia nasus is an anadromous fish that has been successfully domesticated in the last decade due to its high economic value. The fish exhibits a delayed ovary development during the reproductive season, despite breeding and selection for five to six offspring. The molecular mechanism of the delayed ovary development is still unknown, so the obstacles have not been removed in the large-scale breeding program.

Aplastic anemia therapy remains difficult, due to lack of effective treatment regimens. In recent years, Huangqi injection for the adjunctive therapy of aplastic anemia has been reported in many clinical trials. Considering that Huangqi injection may be a novel approach to aplastic anemia treatment, we conducted a meta-analysis of clinical controlled trials to assess the clinical value of Huangqi injection in the treatment of aplastic anemia.
