Near-infrared MoTiC MXene gelatin-chitosan hydrogels with antioxidative, anti-inflammation activity for osteoarthritis treatment.

Knee Osteoarthritis (OA) is prevalent in older adults which eventually lead to disability. Current treatment only alleviates symptoms but does not cure the disease. Herein, we implanted MoTiC MXene gelatin-chitosan hydrogels into the osteoarthritis knee joint in mice and treated with 808 nm laser radiation.

Minimally invasive trans-superior articular process percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy with robot assistance.

Background: To compare the clinical outcomes of patients with lumbar disc herniation treated with robot-assisted percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (r-PELD) or conventional PELD under fluoroscopy guidance (f-PELD).

Methods: Our study group included 55 patients, 22 in the r-PELD group and 33 in the f-PELD group. The following clinical and surgical outcomes were compared between the two groups: the visual analog scale for radiculopathy pain; Oswestry Disability Index; intraoperative volume of blood loss; frequency of fluoroscopy used during the procedure; and MacNab classification.

RNA interference-mediated silencing of DNA methyltransferase 1 attenuates neuropathic pain by accelerating microglia M2 polarization.

Background: DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) exerts imperative functions in neuropathic pain (NP). This study explored the action of RNA interference-mediated DNMT1 silencing in NP by regulating microglial M2 polarization.

Methods: NP rat models were established using chronic constriction injury (CCI) and highly aggressive proliferating immortalized (HAPI) microglia were treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to induce microglia M1 polarization, followed by treatment of DNMT1 siRNA or si-DNMT1/oe-DNMT1, respectively.
