Background: The aging process involves psychosocial and physiological changes, which modify the nutritional status in the elderly. The objective was to assess the nutritional status of a group of elderly patients using the Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) and the Fried frailty index, as well as the relation between both.
Methods: From June to July, 2013, we carried out a cross-sectional study with consecutive sampling of 146 patients of both sexes, from the Hospital Civil "Fray Antonio Alcalde", in Guadalajara, México.
Objective: To identify the prevalence of caries in affiliated children and teenagers at Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS).
Methods: The survey was carried out according to the World Health Organization indexes. The studied was carried out in 1545 boys and girls aged three, five, six, and twelve years and selected by stratified random sampling in seven places of Mexican Republic (Guanajuato, East and West Estado de México, Northwest 1, Northeast 2, Southwest 3, and Southeast 4 DF).
Objective: To identify socio-demographic characteristics and general health conditions among senior citizens working as volunteer packers in a supermarket chain in Mexico.
Material And Methods: From May to July 2008 we carried out a cross-sectional analysis in 416 volunteers aged 60 or more years.
Results: Mean age was 69.
