- Gingival melanin hyperpigmentation is an aesthetic issue, and this study evaluated three treatment methods: surgical stripping and two Er,Cr:YSGG laser settings.
- The results indicated laser setting 1 provided better pain management and patient satisfaction, while both laser methods improved wound healing compared to surgical stripping.
- Laser setting 2 had the least bleeding and effective coagulation, while both laser methods showed lower pigmentation scores after 1 and 12 months, with laser setting 1 having the best results overall.
