Introduction: The outbreak of acute kidney injury (AKI) due to mushroom poisoning is not a frequently encountered medical challenge. Herein, we present 13 mushroom poisoning cases associated with AKI related to causing poisoning reported in a short time period in Turkey.
Methods: A total of 13 patients with AKI due to mushroom poisoning admitted to Usak Research and Training Hospital between November and December 2020 were included.
Objective: Primary hypophysitis might be challenging to diagnose, and there is a lack of evidence regarding optimal treatment strategies due to rarity of the disease. We aim to investigate the clinical features and compare the outcomes of different management strategies of primary hypophysitis in a large group of patients recruited on a nationwide basis.
Design: A retrospective observational study.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate changes in heart rate variability (HRV) and QT dispersion (QTd) in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer at different TSH suppression levels.
Methods: The study included 125 DTC patients, who had been on TSH suppression treatment (TSHST) for at least 1 year. The patients were categorized into three groups: patients with TSH < 0.
Context: The aims of the study are to compare characteristics of subacute thyroiditis (SAT) related to different etiologies, and to identify predictors of recurrence of SAT and incident hypothyroidism.
Methods: This nationwide, multicenter, retrospective cohort study included 53 endocrinology centers in Turkey. The study participants were divided into either COVID-19-related SAT (Cov-SAT), SARS-CoV-2 vaccine-related SAT (Vac-SAT), or control SAT (Cont-SAT) groups.
Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate thyroid function test (TFT) results and anti-thyroid antibody titers in acutely infected COVID-19 patients, as well as the changes in TFT and autoantibody results during the 6-months recovery period among survivors.
Patients And Design: A total of 163 adult COVID-19 patients and 124 COVID-19 survivors were evaluated in terms of TFT (thyroid stimulating hormone [TSH], free triiodothyronine [fT3], and free thyroxine [fT4]) and anti-thyroid antibodies (anti-thyroglobulin [anti-Tg] and anti-thyroid peroxidase [anti-TPO]).
Results: Thyroid dysfunction was noted in 56.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the current situation of hypoparathyroid patients and to investigate the relationship between treatment adherence and quality of life.
Study Design: Prospective, multicentre study.
Methods: Adult patients presenting with the diagnosis of hypoparathyroidism to 20 different endocrinology clinics were included.
Background: To evaluate platelet functions in patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) versus healthy controls.
Methods: Seventy-five patients with HT and 29 healthy controls were included in this study. Age, serum levels of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free triiodothyronine (FT3), free thyroxine (FT4), anti-thyroglobulin (anti-Tg) antibody and anti-thyroid peroxidase (anti-TPO) antibody, platelet count, in vitro platelet aggregation and ATP release reaction tests were recorded and compared between HT and control groups.
Background: The optimal therapeutic choice for Graves' hyperthyroidism in the presence of moderate-severe Graves' orbitopathy (GO) remains controversial.
Objectives: We aimed to compare GO course in patients with moderate-severe GO treated with early total thyroidectomy (TTx) versus antithyroid drug (ATD) regimens, in a prospective, randomized manner.
Methods: Forty-two patients with moderate-severe GO were enrolled.

Aim: This study was designed to measure serum fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) levels in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and healthy subjects.
Methods: A total of 37 women were evaluated. Serum levels FGF21, glucose, lipid profile, hormones (follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinising hormone, oestradiol, testosterone, thyroid stimulating hormone, prolactin and insulin) were determined in 24 PCOS (15 subjects of PCOS BMI < 25 kg/m2, 9 subjects of PCOS BMI ≥ kg/m2) and 13 control group (BMI < 25 kg/m2).
