However, the mechanisms driving hyperactivity of PVN presympathetic neurons in hypertension are unclear. In this study, we determined the role of corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) in the PVN in augmented glutamatergic input, neuronal excitability and sympathetic outflow in hypertension.
