Gradient Luminescence Enhancement in Organic Metal Halide Perovskites via the Suppression of [SbCl] Unit Distortion.

Intrinsic stereochemical activity of the 5s electron configuration in Sb leads to structural distortion within [SbCl] units, which, while stabilizing the material, paradoxically diminishes luminescence intensity due to induced asymmetry. To address this issue, a strategy, which encompasses increasing the structural dimensions and introducing In doping, was developed to mitigate the geometrical distortion in the [SbCl] units within the metal-organic perovskite (DABCO)SbCl·HO and (DABCO)SbCdCl·2HO (DABCO = triethylenediamine). This dimensional augmentation confines lattice distortion effectively, and the In doping modifies the 5s electron configuration of Sb, thereby reducing the distortion at its origin.

Current Status in Rechallenge of Immunotherapy.

The treatment of malignant tumors has entered the era of immunotherapy, and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have brought significant benefits to patients. However, some patients are required to discontinue treatment with ICIs owing to factors such as disease progression and intolerable side effects. Faced with limited subsequent treatment options and complex medical needs, we searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane library, and the NIH clinical trials database and found that ICI rechallenge could be a relevant clinical strategy.

Allergen desensitization reduces the severity of relapsed alopecia areata in dust-mite allergic patients.

Atopy may be a facilitating factor in some alopecia areata (AA) patients with early disease onset and more severe/extensive AA. The underlying immune mechanisms are unknown, but allergen responses may support a pro-inflammatory environment that indirectly promotes AA. To investigate the long-term effect of allergen immunotherapy (AIT) against house dust mite (HDM) allergy on disease severity and prognosis for AA patients.

Seasonal variations of epidermal biophysical properties in Kunming, China: A self-controlled cohort study.

Background: Epidermal biophysical properties can be affected by many factors, including body site, age, gender, ethnicity, disease, temperature, humidity, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Information about variation of epidermal biophysical properties with seasons is still limited. In the present study, we determined seasonal variation of epidermal biophysical properties of women in Kunming, China.

A nomogram for predicting survival of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with metachronous metastasis.
