The rational design of earth-abundant and efficient electrocatalysts to replace precious metal-based materials is highly anticipated for overall water splitting. Herein, NiCoO electrocatalysts with different Fe doping amounts (Fe-NCO, = 1, 2, 3) were synthesized by a low-temperature chemical method. It was interesting to find that the doping of Fe induced the formation of NiCoO nanotube arrays by modulating the Fe content.

Cellular reprogramming can manipulate the identity of cells to generate the desired cell types. The use of cell intrinsic components, including oocyte cytoplasm and transcription factors, can enforce somatic cell reprogramming to pluripotent stem cells. By contrast, chemical stimulation by exposure to small molecules offers an alternative approach that can manipulate cell fate in a simple and highly controllable manner.

In this paper, the Ni-Nb coatings were successfully prepared onto the GH3039 alloys by High current pulsed electron beam (HCPEB). The transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results confirmed that the Ni-Nb layer of 10-pulsed samples exhibited partial amorphization, which was consisted of γ-Ni particles, rod-like NiNb particles and nano NiNb with 30 nm in size. After 20-pulsed irradiation, the results show that only NiNb clusters with around 3 nm in size were dispersed in fully amorphization layer.
