We introduce a novel technique for enhancing the robustness of light-pulse atom interferometers against the pulse infidelities that typically limit their sensitivities. The technique uses quantum optimal control to favorably harness the multipath interference of the stray trajectories produced by imperfect atom-optics operations. We apply this method to a resonant atom interferometer and achieve thousandfold phase amplification, representing a 50-fold improvement over the performance observed without optimized control.

Introduction: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a common pregnancy complication with potential short- and long-term adverse consequences for both mothers and fetuses. It is unclear whether GDM affects linear growth in the offspring; research data are limited and inconsistent.
Methods: In a prospective birth cohort in Shanghai (n=2055 children; 369 born to mothers with GDM).
Purpose: To observe the tumor responses during photodynamic therapy in a murine glioblastoma model using chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) MRI and to compare the treatment effectiveness between single photodynamic therapy (sPDT) and repeated PDT (rePDT).
Methods: After tumor cell implantation in NSG mouse brain (n = 27), mice were subjected to four PDT sessions (rePDT), sPDT after the administration of 5-aminolevulinic acid 6 h before each session, and a non-PDT session (control). A 630-nm LED light was used to effectuate PDT.

Context/objective: Fetuin-B is a hepatokine/adipokine implicated in glucose homeostasis and lipid metabolism. We sought to assess whether cord blood fetuin-B levels are altered in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and the association with fetal growth factors and lipids.
