Article Synopsis
  • A novel technique combining multiset canonical correlation analysis (mCCA) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) is developed to identify major depressive disorder (MDD).
  • The mCCA-rreg model enhances the standard canonical correlation approach by focusing on important data components and minimizing less relevant variations while addressing issues like multicollinearity.
  • In tests with 45 subjects, this method successfully identified MDD patients with over 95% accuracy by selecting key functional connections and relevant clinical features.
