Citrus-derived raw medicinal materials are frequently used for health care, flavoring, and therapeutic purposes. However, Due to similarities in origin or appearance, citrus herbs are often misused in the market, necessitating effective differentiation methods. For the first time, this study constructed automated discrimination models for 16 citrus species (239 batches) while previous studies focused on a limited number of species.

Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on creating a new drug delivery system using dual-ligand-modified liposomes to target glioma, with the goal of overcoming the blood-brain barrier and improving drug effectiveness.
  • Researchers used a specific technique to prepare liposomes that co-load a photosensitizer (ICG) and a chemotherapeutic drug (MTO), and tested their properties and ability to penetrate the blood-brain barrier while targeting glioma cells.
  • Results showed that the modified liposomes were stable, capable of effectively penetrating the blood-brain barrier, concentrating in glioma cells, and exhibited strong anti-tumor effects, highlighting their potential in improving glioma treatment.

Aboveground biomass (AGB) is a critical indicator for monitoring the crop growth status and predicting yields. UAV remote sensing technology offers an efficient and non-destructive method for collecting crop information in small-scale agricultural fields. High-resolution hyperspectral images provide abundant spectral-textural information, but whether they can enhance the accuracy of crop biomass estimations remains subject to further investigation.

By integrating the thermal characteristics from thermal-infrared remote sensing with the physiological and structural information of vegetation revealed by multispectral remote sensing, a more comprehensive assessment of the crop soil-moisture-status response can be achieved. In this study, multispectral and thermal-infrared remote-sensing data, along with soil-moisture-content (SMC) samples (0~20 cm, 20~40 cm, and 40~60 cm soil layers), were collected during the flowering stage of soybean. Data sources included vegetation indices, texture features, texture indices, and thermal-infrared vegetation indices.

Aim: To construct a novel liposomal drug delivery system co-modified with SP94 and BR2 ligands, encapsulating both the bitter ginseng derivative B21 and doxorubicin (DOX), to achieve superior anti-tumour efficacy and reduced toxic side effects.

Methods: Liposomes were prepared using an organic phase reaction method, with B21 encapsulated in the lipid phase and DOX in the aqueous phase. The liposomes were further modified with SP94 and BR2 peptides.

The leaf area index (LAI) is a crucial physiological indicator of crop growth. This paper introduces a new spectral index to overcome angle effects in estimating the LAI of crops. This study quantitatively analyzes the relationship between LAI and multi-angle hyperspectral reflectance from the canopy of winter oilseed rape ( L.

Aim: To construct a novel nano-carrier with dual ligands to achieve superior anti-tumour efficacy and lower toxic side effects.

Methods: Liposomes were prepared by thin film hydration method. Ultraviolet, high performance liquid chromatography, nano-size analyser, ultrafiltration centrifugation, dialysis, transmission electron microscope, flow cytometry, Cell Counting Kit-8, confocal laser scanning microscopy, transwell, and tumorsphere assay were used to study the characterisations, cytotoxicity, and targeting of dg-Bcan targeting peptide (BTP-7)/pHA-temozolomide (TMZ)/tetra(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin (TCPP)-Lip.

Leaf chlorophyll content (LCC) is an important physiological index to evaluate the photosynthetic capacity and growth health of crops. In this investigation, the focus was placed on the chlorophyll content per unit of leaf area (LCC) and the chlorophyll content per unit of fresh weight (LCC) during the tuber formation phase of potatoes in Northern Shaanxi. Ground-based hyperspectral data were acquired for this purpose to formulate the vegetation index.

Traditional HO cleavage mediated by macroscopic electron transfer (MET) not only has low utilization of HO, but also sacrifices the stability of catalysts. We present a non-redox hydroxyl-enriched spinel (CuFeO) catalyst with dual Lewis acid sites to realize the homolytic cleavage of HO. The results of systematic experiments, in situ characterizations, and theoretical calculations confirm that tetrahedral Cu sites with optimal Lewis acidity and strong electron delocalization can synergistically elongate the O-O bonds (1.

In this study, the spatial concentration of odorous pollutants in the aerobic tank of an underground wastewater treatment plant (UWWTP) in southern China is monitored. The odour activity value, odour contribution rate, and chemical concentration contribution rate are used to evaluate the degree of contribution of odorous substances. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of odorous pollutant diffusion are also established.

Family atmosphere is a significant predictor of internet addiction in adolescents. Based on the vulnerability model of emotion and the compensatory internet use theory, this study examined whether self-esteem and negative emotions (anxiety, depression) mediated the relationship between family atmosphere and internet addiction in parallel and sequence. A total of 3,065 Chinese middle school and high school students (1,524 females, mean age = 13.

The reducing gases produced and NO reduction by sewage sludge combustion were investigated in a self-made cement precalciner. The dual role of O concentration (0-5 vol%) in the production characteristics of reducing gases and the reduction efficiency of NO were evaluated experimentally. TG-FTIR analysis demonstrated that the key reducing gaseous species produced by sewage sludge combustion were HCN, NH, CO, and CH.

Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women and is a molecularly heterogeneous disease. Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (Stat3) is overexpressed and hyperactivated in a variety of human tumours, including breast cancer, thus representing a promising target for breast cancer treatment. In the present study, we evaluated the activities of a novel Stat3 inhibitor named Statmp-151 in the human breast cancer cell lines MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 and the murine mammary carcinoma cell line 4T1.

With the addition of Ca(OH), the effects of combustion temperature, moisture, sludge particle size, and chlorine-containing additives on the removal of HCl during sludge combustion were studied. The experimental results showed that combustion temperature and moisture content promoted the formation of HCl and Ca(OH) played a key role in the formation of HCl during sludge combustion. Under the best conditions of a sludge particle size of 380-250 μm, moisture content of 5%, temperature of 850 °C, and Ca(OH)/sludge weight ratio of 3/10, the HCl capture efficiency was 79.

The effects of ozone concentration, NaOH concentration, type and concentration of additives, initial pH, temperature, and NO and SO concentration on simultaneous removal of NO and SO were studied through ozone oxidation combined with wet absorption. Results indicated that ozone concentration and the type and concentration of additives had the most significant effect on NO removal. The optimal ozone concentration was 250 ppm (NO/NO = 1), and the best additive was KMnO.
