- A systematic review was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture in treating RIX, involving searches across six databases and analyzing eight clinical trials with 1273 participants.
- The findings showed that while acupuncture improved patient-reported xerostomia scores compared to standard care, it did not significantly outperform sham acupuncture or enhance salivary flow rates, and no serious adverse effects were noted.
Background: The knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of Chinese patients with allergic rhinitis (AR) on AR is poorly known. This study investigated the KAP towards AR in patients with this disease and explored the factors associated with KAP.
Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled patients with AR in Zhangjiagang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between October 2022 and March 2023.
Pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma (PSC) is a group of five rare non-small cell lung cancer subtypes. In the present study, the clinical characteristics and outcomes of patients with PSC registered in the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database were investigated. For this purpose, data for patients with PSC (n=1,723) who received their initial diagnosis between 1988 and 2016 were collected from the SEER database.
