Background: Prostate cancer (PCa) is commonly occurred among males worldwide and its prognosis could be influenced by biochemical recurrence (BCR). MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are functional regulators in carcinogenesis, and miR-221-3p was reported as one of the significant candidates deregulated in PCa. However, its regulatory pattern in PCa BCR across literature reports was not consistent, and the targets and mechanisms in PCa malignant transition and BCR are less explored.

While significant progress has been made in elucidating the pathophysiology of autoimmune diseases, the immunological mechanisms underlying anti-NMDARE remain elusive. This study aimed to characterize immune cell interactions and dysregulation in anti-NMDARE by leveraging single-cell multi-omics sequencing technologies.

However, few studies have investigated the relationship between the skeletal muscle and adipose tissue indices, as measured at the 12th thoracic spine level, and adverse outcomes following orthopedic surgery. Therefore, this study aimed to prove whether skeletal muscle and adipose tissue index measured by computed tomography (CT) images based on a single layer are associated with one-year postoperative mortality in elderly hip fracture patients.

Previously, an alternative method of arterial watershed localization was been introduced to remedy the shortcomings of preoperative CT-guided localization or other methods for locating pulmonary nodules, but its technical limitations were discovered during clinical application. Therefore, we innovated a technique to localize non-subpleural nodules using basin analysis of the target vein and validated its feasibility and safety.

Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer among women globally. Its development is closely linked to accelerated cell cycle progression and the inhibition of apoptosis in cervical cancer tissues. Gefitinib has demonstrated efficacy in inhibiting cervical cancer cells, and the 1,2,3-triazole structure is widely recognized for its role in inducing mitochondrial apoptosis in tumor cells.

Here, we present a protocol for using Festem to identify marker genes in scRNA-seq data and perform subsequent analyses. We describe comprehensive steps for setting up the environment, marker gene selection, clustering, and marker gene assignment.

While composite materials are ideal for this application, the random distribution of filling materials leads to numerous interfaces, limiting improvements in thermal transfer capabilities. An effective method to improve the thermal conductivity of composites is the alignment of anisotropic fillers, such as hexagonal boron nitride (BN).

Ferritin plays a crucial role in maintaining iron homeostasis within the body through its ability to sequester and release iron. Ferritinophagy is a selective autophagic process in cells that specifically facilitates the degradation of ferritin and subsequent release of free iron, thereby regulating intracellular iron homeostasis.

Therefore, it is crucial to assess the impact of intensity correlations on the practical security of MDI QKD systems. In this work, we propose a theoretical model that quantitatively analyzes the secure key rate of MDI QKD systems under intensity correlations.

However, how to grow high-quality single crystals for 2D/3D COPs is of challenge due to poor reversibility and difficult self-correction of covalent bonds. In addition, the success of introducing tellurium into the backbone to construct 2D/3D COPs and obtaining their single crystals is rare.

Since traditional image processing-based methods are not robust, deep learning-based image recognition methods can automatically obtain the features of small ships. However, due to the limited pixels of ships over long distances, accurate features of such ships are difficult to obtain.

This study aimed to design a novel SSTR antagonist, [F]AlF-NOTA-Asp-PEG-JR11, and compare its preclinical performance with the previously reported antagonist, [F]AlF-NOTA-JR11, and the agonist [Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE.
Methods: [F]AlF-NOTA-Asp-PEG-JR11 was synthesized via a one-step radiolabeling process involving [F]AlF chelation.
Surgical resection combined with intravesical instillation of chemotherapeutics or Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) to remove residual cancer cells is the gold standard for the clinical treatment of patients with bladder cancer. In a recent clinical trial, a new super-agonist complex of IL-15 - N803, has shown promising results when used in combination with BCG to treat patients with bladder cancer who do not respond to BCG. Herein, we used temperature-controlled pBV220 plasmid encoding Interleukin-15 and its receptor alpha subunit (IL-15&15Rα) to transform VNP20009, an attenuated salmonella typhimurium strain, obtaining engineered bacteria named 15&15Rα@VNP.

Although these sensors are flexible and small, the core signal-processing units still rely on a conventional printed circuit board (PCB), making current health-monitoring devices bulky and inconvenient to wear. In this study, a printed fabric-based hybrid circuit was designed and prepared-with a series of characteristics, such as surface/sectional morphology, electrical properties, and stability-to study its reliability.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the relationship between the lipid accumulation product (LAP) index and total femur bone mineral density (BMD), while also examining the mediating role of the poverty-income ratio (PIR).
Methods: Using the most recent data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 2009 to 2020, multivariate logistic regression models were employed in this study to investigate the relationship between the LAP index and total femur BMD. Saturation effects and potential non-linear associations were examined using a smooth curve-fitting approach to determine saturation levels.
We investigate the quantum dynamics of a spin coupling to a bath of independent spins via the dissipaton equation of motion (DEOM) approach. The bath, characterized by a continuous spectral density function, is composed of spins that are independent level systems described by the su(2) Lie algebra, representing an environment with a large magnitude of anharmonicity. Based on the previous work by Suarez and Silbey [J.
