Developing a minimally invasive, real-time diagnostic tool to accurately assess endometrial conditions is critical to increasing pregnancy rates in assisted reproductive technology (ART). In this research, fiberoptic bronchoscopy and optical coherence tomography (OCT) were used before and after alcohol injury and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG)-induced pseudopregnancy to monitor changes in the rabbit endometrium. Histological analysis and electron microscopy were performed on 1 cm uterine sections while simultaneously training a conditional generative adversarial network (cGAN) to convert OCT images into virtual hematoxylin and eosin H&E stained sections.

Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) have been shown to be vulnerable to adversarial examples, significantly hindering the development of deep learning technologies in high-security domains. A key challenge is that current defense methods often lack universality, as they are effective only against certain types of adversarial attacks. This study addresses this challenge by focusing on analyzing adversarial examples through changes in model attention, and classifying attack algorithms into attention-shifting and attention-attenuation categories.

Article Synopsis
  • This study explored how the brain reacts to different alcohol concentrations (5%-53%) and the complex flavours of Baijiu using EEG technology.
  • Results indicated that the brain can effectively differentiate alcohol levels, as higher alcohol content increased physiological signals.
  • The findings also showed that Baijiu's unique flavours lead to stronger brain activation compared to similar alcohol solutions, providing evidence for the use of EEG in understanding the brain's response to different alcoholic beverages.

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the most common complications of diabetes. Gradual loss of podocytes is a sign of DN and pyroptosis mechanistically correlates with podocyte injury in DN; however, the mechanism(s) involved remain unknown. Here we reveal that TRIM29 is overexpressed in high glucose (HG)-treated murine podocytes cells and that TRIM29 silencing significantly inhibits podocyte damage due to HG treatment, as evidenced by lower desmin expression and greater nephrin expression.
