Background: Lymphovascular invasion (LVI) and perineural invasion (PNI) are associated with decreased survival in colorectal cancer (CRC), but its significance in N1c stage remains to be clearly defined.
Aim: To evaluate LVI and PNI as potential prognostic indicators in N1c CRC.
Methods: We retrospectively identified 107 consecutive patients who had CRC with N1c disease radically resected at our hospital.
Circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) materials are attractive due to their unique applications in fields such as 3D displays, information encryption, and chiroptical switches. Natural biomolecules-based CPL materials are gaining plenty of attention due to their chiral diversity and sustainability. However, it is still challenging to construct CPL materials with opposite CPL signs from a single natural biomolecule due to its inherent chirality.

Using multi-omics approaches, we interrogate gut microbiome, blood metabolome, and cytokines/chemokines of patients with MSI-H/dMMR gastrointestinal cancer (N = 77) at baseline and during the treatment. We identify a number of microbes (e.

However, significant drug resistance exists regardless of the treatment regimen.
Methods: Patients with metastatic/unresectable HER2-negative gastric/gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma were enrolled.
Introduction: The wide application of immune checkpoint inhibitors has significantly improved the survival expectation of cancer patients. While immunotherapy brings benefits to patients, it also results in a series of immune-related adverse events (irAEs). Increasing evidence suggests that the gut microbiome is critical for immunotherapy response and the development of irAEs.

The human gut microbiota (GM) is linked to the development of CRC and T2DM, respectively. However, the GM characteristics in patients with CRC and T2DM remain unclear.

Patients And Methods: This prospective cohort study included 84 patients who achieved clinical complete response (cCR) after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT). They were divided into the WW group (n = 58) and surgery group (SG, n = 26).
In China, colorectal cancer (CRC) ranked fourth and fifth in the highest incidence and mortality rates of all malignancies in 2018, respectively. Although these rates are below the world average, China placed first worldwide in the number of new CRC cases and CRC-related deaths because of its comparatively large population. This disease represents a threat to the health of population and incurs a heavy economic burden on the society and individuals.
