Herein, a facile covalent coupling-modulated nitrogen defect is reported for significantly boosting peroxidase (POD)-like activity. Vanadium nitride (VN) nanoparticles are grown on graphene oxide (GO) via C-N bonding to form VN/rGO nanocomposites by varying with the VO/GO ratio.
