We report a case of a woman with SAPHO syndrome who exhibited increased tracer uptake in the sternal angle on a 99mTc-MDP bone scan. This patient was enrolled in a 68Ga-pentixafor PET/CT trial for inflammatory diseases. The PET/CT showed no abnormal tracer uptake in the sternal angle.

Rhabdoid meningioma is a rare subtype of meningioma and has a poor prognosis. Herein, we reported a patient of rhabdoid meningioma with multiple liver, pancreas, and bone metastases, who received 177 Lu-FAP-2286 therapy. Article Synopsis
  • Fibroblast activation protein inhibitors like 68 Ga-FAPI are promising tools for evaluating myelofibrosis, a type of bone marrow disorder, through noninvasive imaging techniques like PET/CT.
  • In a study with 22 patients, the uptake of 68 Ga-FAPI in bone marrow showed a strong correlation with the severity of myelofibrosis, distinguishing between early and advanced stages of the disease.
  • The findings suggest that 68 Ga-FAPI PET/CT could serve as an effective method for monitoring myelofibrosis progression and identifying areas for biopsy, though more research is needed to fully validate its prognostic capabilities.

External ear melanomas are relatively rare and usually occur in the regions of helix and ear lobes. Rarer still are primary melanomas of the external auditory canal. We report findings of melanoma of the external auditory canal on 68 Ga-FAPI PET/CT in a 56-year-old man who presented with sharp pain in the external auditory canal for 7 months.
