Multiscale particle size functional pesticide carriers can provide more efficient protection for plants, but this protection is difficult to achieve via single-scale formulation technology. This study presents a novel one-step method for the preparation of lignin-based micro/nanocapsules with controllable proportions within a unified system. This strategy enables the adjustment of the proportion of nanocapsules to between 18.

Owing to the deletion of the E1B-55kD and E3 regions, H101 is believed to selectively inhibit nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Whether H101 inhibits other type of tumors via different mechanisms remains unclear.

Aim: To investigate the oncological profile of in HCC.
Methods: Based on The Cancer Genome Atlas database, we analyzed the expression of in HCC.
Purpose: To determine whether the teaching method of seminars combined with case-based learning (CBL) is superior to the traditional lecture-based learning (LBL) for teaching cancer pain in medical oncology internship.
Methods: Sixty medical and nursing interns in the medical oncology department of our hospital were selected between January 2019 and December 2020. Thirty students received traditional LBL instruction as the control group, and 30 students received combined seminars and CBL instruction as the observation group.
Carcinomas of unknown primary (CUPs) have poor prognosis due to the paucity of data on their clinical characteristics and laboratory features, and empirical chemotherapy still remains the critical management for this kind of disease. This study aimed to present the knowledge of treating an elderly man with metastatic adenocarcinoma of unknown primary and also with a history of long-term hypertension and renal cysts. He was identified to harbor mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (MET) gene amplification and neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase 1 (NTRK1) gene co-occurring mutation by targeted next-generation sequencing analysis upon the progression of empirical chemotherapy.

Methods: Cardiocytes H9C2 was cultured in vitro and different concentrations of Hcy and H2S were added for 6-h and 24-h cultivation. MTT cell proliferation assay was applied to test the activation change of cardiocytes H9C2 after affecting by different concentrations of Hcy and H2S.
Xuebijing (XBJ) injection is a herbal medicine that has been widely used in the treatment of sepsis in China; however, its role in the development and progression of Acinetobacter baumannii sepsis and the underlying mechanisms remain uninvestigated. In the present study, fifty-four male Wistar rats were randomly assigned to normal-control group, sepsis-control group, and sepsis + XBJ group, each containing three subgroups of different treatment time periods (6, 12, and 24 hrs following injection, resp.).

Previously, several naturally occurring agents, including all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) have been demonstrated to increase gap junctional intercellular communication (GJIC) in a number of types of cancer cells. In the present study, we investigated in vitro whether ATRA modulates the response of human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells to sorafenib, the only proven oral drug for advanced HCC, and the underlying mechanisms.

The aim of our study was to investigate the potential anti-cancer effect of SalB in human glioma U87 cells. We found that treatment with SalB significantly decreased cell viability of U87 cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFArachidonic acid metabolic pathway has been implicated in the inflammation-associated tumorigenesis of gastrointestinal cancers. As the rate-limiting enzyme of arachidonic acid production, group IVA phospholipase A2 (PLA2G4A) is hypothesized to play a fundamental role in gastric tumorigenesis as well as cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). However, little is known about the expression and role of PLA2G4A in gastric cancer, and the association of PLA2G4A with COX-2 remains to be elucidated.
