Gastric cancer (GC), characterized by a high incidence rate, poses significant clinical challenges owing to its poor prognosis despite advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of the molecular mechanisms driving GC progression is crucial for identifying predictive markers and defining treatment targets. Deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs), also called deubiquitinases, function as reverse transcriptases within the ubiquitin-proteasome system to counteract protein degradation.

Warthin-like mucoepidermoid carcinoma (WL-MEC) is a newly reported variant of mucoepidermoid carcinoma. Its histological feature is easy to confused with metaplastic Warthin Tumor, and its relationship with Warthin tumor in histogenesis is controversial. In this study, we presented two cases of WL-MEC, discussing their clinicopathological and molecular features.

Natural products (NPs) play an irreplaceable role in the intervention of various diseases and have been considered a critical source of drug development. Many new pharmacodynamic compounds with potential clinical applications have recently been derived from NPs. These compounds range from small molecules to polysaccharides, polypeptides, proteins, self-assembled nanoparticles, and extracellular vesicles.

The detection of multiple single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is still a great challenge. In this study, we designed enzyme-assisted nucleic acid strand displacement amplification combined with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the simultaneous detection of three ctDNA SNPs. First, the trace ctDNA could be hybridized to the specially designed template strand, which initiated the strand displacement nucleic acid amplification process under the synergistic action of DNA polymerase and restriction endonuclease.

Objective: The aim of this report was to comprehensively investigate the clinicopathological features, histological characteristics, and differential diagnosis of tall cell carcinoma with reversed polarity of the breast (TCCRP) to enhance the understanding of this tumour for precise therapeutic interventions.

Methods: The clinicopathological characteristics and differential diagnosis of a patient with TCCRP were retrospectively analysed, and a systematic literature review was extracted from relevant published studies on PubMed.

Results: All patients included in the study were female, with a median age of 51 years.

Background: Breast cancer is the commonest global malignancy and the primary cause of carcinoma death. MCM6 is vital to carcinogenesis, but the pathogenesis of MCM6 remains unclear.

Methods: MCM6 expression in patients with breast cancer was examined through The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, immunohistochemistry, Quantitative Real-Time PCR (qRT‒PCR) and Western blotting.

A third of the world's population suffers from unexplained fatigue, hugely impacting work learning, efficiency, and health. The fatigue development may be a concomitant state of a disease or the side effect of a drug, or muscle fatigue induced by intense exercise. However, there are no authoritative guides or clinical medication recommendations for various fatigue classifications.

Jiuzhuan Huangjing Pills (JHP) composed of Polygonati Rhizoma (PR) and Angelicae Sinensis Radix (ASR) remedied mitochondria to cure metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD). However, a comparison of the anti-MAFLD ability between JHP prescription and PR and ASR single-medicines in MAFLD has not been performed, and the action mechanisms and substances remain unknown. Our results show that JHP, PR and ASR decreased serum and liver lipid levels.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a chronic liver disease that currently lacks approved pharmacological treatment options. The mechanisms and active ingredients of Polygonum cuspidatum (PC) that regulate the mitochondria to relieve MAFLD have not been assessed. Thus, this study was designed to explore the bioactive components of PC extract in regulating mitochondria to alleviate high-fat diet-induced MAFLD using mitochondrial pharmacology and pharmacochemistry.

Background: Extranodal marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT lymphoma) occurs in approximately 9% of non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphomas. The gastrointestinal tract is the most commonly affected site of the extranodal forms of primary non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. However, it rarely occurs within the rectum, and at present, there is no consensus on its diagnosis and treatment at this site.

Objective: To investigate the clinical manifestations, radiologic features, pathological features, and immunophenotype of minute pulmonary meningothelial-like nodules (MPMNs).

Method: This is a retrospective observational study. We collected the clinical data of 7 cases of MPMNs, and performed comprehensive characterization using a combination of clinical, morphological, radiologic and immunohistochemical assessments.

() infection is the strongest risk factor for the occurrence and development of gastric carcinoma. However, the molecular mechanism underlying induced pathogenesis has not yet been fully characterized. Here, we explored whether upregulates semaphorin 5A to promote gastric cancer progression via the extracellular regulated protein kinases/matrix metalloproteinase (ERK/MMP9) signaling pathway.

Background: Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a common global chronic liver disease. Jiuzhuan Huangjing Pills (JHP) have been used for the treatment of human disease for over a thousand years, but their efficacy and underlying mechanism(s) of action against MAFLD are unknown. We investigated the alleviating effects of JHP on high-fat diet (HFD)-induced MAFLD.

Background: Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is a CD30-positive T cell lymphoma, a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The current World Health Organization classification system divides ALCLs into anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive and ALK-negative groups. ALCL rarely presents in the gastrointestinal tract.

Introduction: Cervical cancer rates in China remain high, with only limited opportunistic screening in urban centers and large mostly unscreened rural areas. Cervical cytology practices in China have been changing over the last decade with introduction of The Bethesda System reporting terminology, liquid-based cytology (LBC), and programs for cervical cytology screening of underserved rural populations. An effort was undertaken for the first time to collect nationwide data on cervical cytology laboratory practices in China, a possible first step toward increased standardization and potential development of nationwide cytology quality benchmarks.
