The photoinduced ligand desorption from nanocrystal (NC) surfaces plays a critical role in the diverse functionalities of NCs. However, this reaction is inherently complex because photophysical and photochemical reactions are involved, and many aspects remain elusive. In this study, using ZnS NCs coordinated with perylenebisimide (PBI) ligands as a model system, we revealed that pump-push-probe spectroscopy provides detailed insights into the transient species following photoinduced ligand desorption reactions.

A definition of career transitions was initially proposed by Louis in 1980. The pace of career transitions has since increased, unraveling traditional linear career pathways. Despite this, we have inadequate knowledge about what defines successful career transitions.

Phaeochromocytomas are rare neuroendocrine tumours, which can significantly increase the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. They are also recognised as 'the great mimic' and can present in many ways. A 42-year-old male patient presented with a non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome and was medically treated pending an invasive coronary angiogram.

Introduction: It remains unclear which advanced airway device has better placement success and fewer adverse events in out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCAs). This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the VBM laryngeal tube (LT) against the laryngeal mask airway (LMA) in OHCAs managed by emergency ambulances in Singapore.

Methods: This was a real-world, prospective, cluster-randomised crossover study.

Background: Cultivating empathy towards persons with disabilities has been highlighted as an essential graduate attribute in the occupational therapy profession.

Purpose: With the aim to developing a more holistic understanding of disability, this project seeks to translate an experiential learning activity developed in Canada to the local Singaporean context. Small groups of two to three students were paired with a person with physical disability, known as a , for a series of visits to observe and participate in their self-care, productivity and leisure activities.

A 48-year-old man presented with a 2-month history of polyuria, polydypsia, chest pain, fever, cough and extreme weight loss. He was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis and investigations revealed widespread infection with an empyema complicated by bronchopleural fistula, and iliopsoas, suprapubic and periarticular abscesses. Streptococcus milleri was cultured from all sites.
