Primary thyroid lymphomas comprise largely extranodal marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (EMZL) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), followed by follicular lymphoma (FL). They commonly develop from a background of Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT), where dysregulated immune responses trigger autoreactive infiltrates and drive clonal B-cell evolution. To understand how these lymphomas and their relapse evolve, we investigated 10 cases by mutation profiling, including five with metachronous lymphomas [primary lymphoma (EMZL = 4, DLBCL = 1) with local relapse (EMZL = 3, DLBCL = 2)], one composite EMZL and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive DLBCL, and four lymphomas (EMZL = 3, FL = 1) with prior or subsequent biopsy showing HT.

Increasing prevalence and awareness of Se-related issues have driven the development of many innovative Se treatment technologies. Photocatalysis has shown promise towards Se removal from industrial wastewaters with minimal residuals, and is generally considered a low-cost, robust, non-toxic, and potentially solar-powered method.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is an attractive candidate for anticancer therapeutics due to its efficient pro-apoptotic activity against tumor cells and its well-tolerated safety profile. However, the in vivo antitumor efficacy of TRAIL is often limited by its poor tumor targeting capacity. Nowadays, the B7 homologue 3 (B7-H3) immune checkpoint has emerged as a promising target for tumor immunotherapy and drug delivery.

Olverembatinib, which is approved in China, has only been tested in Chinese patients.
Objective: To assess the pharmacokinetics, safety, efficacy, and recommended dose of olverembatinib in patients with CML or Philadelphia chromosome-positive ALL resistant or intolerant to at least 2 TKIs.
Selenium (Se), released from mining, power generation, and agriculture, is an environmentally and ecologically concerning contaminant due to its toxicity at elevated concentrations. Se oxyanions are highly soluble and mobile in aquatic ecosystems, and have a strong tendency to bioaccumulate and biomagnify, leading to acute and chronic toxicity in animals and humans. Photocatalysis presents a promising sustainable Se treatment solution and has successfully reduced and removed Se from mining-influenced matrices using UV-powered slurry photoreactor systems.

As a symbolic feature of arterial thrombosis, severe stenosis in the blood vessel creates a high-shear, high-gradient flow environment that facilitates platelet aggregation towards vessel occlusion. Here, we present a thrombus profiling assay that monitors the multi-dimensional attributes of thrombi forming in such biomechanical conditions.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the comparability, accessibility, and clinical utility of REFM in contrast to TEFM.
Methods: This was a multicenter prospective cohort study.
Olverembatinib (HQP1351) is a BCR-ABL1 tyrosine kinase inhibitor with promising clinical activity. It is approved in China for the treatment of patients with chronic myeloid leukemia harboring drug-resistant mutations, such as T315I. In vitro studies suggested that metabolism of olverembatinib is primarily mediated by cytochrome P450 (CYP3A4).

To evaluate and compare the impact of combining bevacizumab with temozolomide and radiotherapy on progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients diagnosed with GBM.

Botrocetin is also commonly employed for the development/characterization of antithrombotics targeting the GPIb-VWF axis.
Objectives: To explore the alternative receptor(s)/mechanisms that participate in botrocetin-induced platelet aggregation.
Src-homology region 2 domain-containing phosphatase 1 (SHP-1) is considered an anti-inflammatory factor, but its role in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) remains unknown. Herein, overexpression of SHP-1 was utilized to explore the functions of SHP-1 in COPD models established by stimulating 16HBE cells with cigarette smoke extracts (CSE) . SHP-1 was downregulated in both COPD patients and CES-treated 16HBE cells.

Since X-ray excited triplet excitons are dissipated through various pathways, there are still huge difficulties in achieving efficient triplet sensitized emission. Here, the antenna ligand is regulated through the carboxyl group, increasing the steric hindrance between the conjugated groups and improving triplet-enhanced radioluminescence (RL) efficiencies of Tb.

However, few hydrogels can be triggered by NIR. Here, a modular polymer-nanosheet (metal disulfide) (PNS) hydrogel system was proposed, which can be photo-crosslinked through photothermal conversion under NIR light.

In this study, we proposed a physicochemical bidirectional regulation strategy via ration by physically utilizing hydroxyapatite nanopatterning to recruit and induce MSCs osteogenic differentiation and by chemically inhibiting osteolysis activity through the loaded zoledronate. The nanorod-like hydroxyapatite coating was fabricated via a modified hydrothermal process while the zoledronic acid was loaded through the chelation within the calcium ions.

Arterial thrombosis, which represents a critical complication of cardiovascular diseases, is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide with no effective bioassay for clinical prediction. As a symbolic feature of arterial thrombosis, severe stenosis in the blood vessel creates a high-shear, high-gradient flow environment that effectively facilitates platelet aggregation towards vessel occlusion even with platelet amplification loops inhibited. However, no approach is currently available to comprehensively characterize the size, composition and platelet activation status of thrombi forming under this biorheological condition.

Methods: A total of 226 patients with ICH from the Medical information mart for intensive care III (MIMIC Ⅲ) database were randomly split into 8:2 ratio training and experimental groups, and 38 patients from the eICU-CRD for external validation. Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was performed to identify independent factors associated with ICH, and multivariate Cox regression was used to construct nomograms for 7-day and 14-day overall survival (OS).
