Background: FGFR2 fusion has become a promising therapeutic target in iCCAs; however, the procedure for screening FGFR2 fusion has not been conventionally developed.
Methods: FGFR2 fusion was identified using DNA + RNA-based NGS and FISH, and the concordance between DNA + RNA-based NGS, FISH, and IHC was compared.
Results: FGFR2 fusions were detected in 9 out of 76 iCCAs (11.
Background: Acteoside, an active ingredient found in various medicinal herbs, is effective in the treatment of diabetic kidney disease (DKD); however, the intrinsic pharmacological mechanism of action of acteoside in the treatment of DKD remains unclear. This study utilizes a combined approach of network pharmacology and experimental validation to investigate the potential molecular mechanism systematically.
Methods: First, acteoside potential targets and DKD-associated targets were aggregated from public databases.
Context.—: Eosinophilic solid and cystic renal cell carcinoma is now defined in the 5th edition of the 2022 World Health Organization classification of urogenital tumors.
Objective.
The most common mutations in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are or mutations. Recently, neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase () fusions have been reported in GISTs, which increased interest in introducing tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) inhibitors as treatments for GISTs with fusions. Hence, we aimed to screen fusions in GISTs; we used fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), next-generation sequencing (NGS), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) to screen fusions in 46 GISTs and evaluate each method.

The key component is a dual-polarization dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator that is used to realize phase modulation and carrier-suppressed double second-order sideband modulation at two orthogonal polarization states, respectively. The π phase jump of the frequency-doubled phase-coded microwave pulse is dependent on the polarity of the coding signal rather than its amplitude.

Using CO flux data of winter wheat recorded by eddy covariance system, combined with the meteorological data, we examined the diurnal variations of CO fluxes in four growth stages (tillering stage, overwintering stage, jointing stage and filling stage) of winter wheat in an agroecosystem of the North China Plain from 2013 to 2014. The seasonal variation of net ecosystem exchange and its relationship with meteorological factors were investigated. The results showed that the net ecosystem exchange in the whole growing season was -360.

Restoring the degraded vegetation system is important for preventing soil erosion, improving ecological environment and helping to achieve the sustainable development of ecosystems. Based on the scenario simulation of vegetation pattern and flow length index, we analyzed the responses of hydrological connectivity to vegetation pattern under different vegetation coverages and slope gradients, and explored the optimal vegetation pattern of soil and water conservation in riparian buffer zone in the lower reaches of the Yellow River.

Vasculogenic mimicry (VM) is described as the mimicry of endothelial cells by tumor cells to form microvascular tubes in aggressive tumors. Galectin-3 has been reported to regulate cell invasion, migration, and VM formation; it could be regulated by Runx2.

Mucinous cystadenoma of the appendix presenting as an umbilical hernia is a rare clinical entity. The most common causes of this condition are known to be ascites, hepatitis and cirrhosis; however, the patient in the present study, was diagnosed as hepatitis- and cirrhosis-negative, with no history of chronic coughing or constipation.
