Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic significance of X-ray criteria of maxillary sinus hypoplasia.

Material And Methods: Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) data of 553 patients (1006 maxillary sinuses) with dental and ENT pathology from Minsk outpatient clinics, were studied. The morphometric parameters of 23 maxillary sinuses with radiological signs of hypoplasia, as well as orbits on the affected side, were analyzed.

The timely diagnosis and treatment of post-infectious glomerulonephritis (PIGN) is currently limited by the erased and low-symptom nature of the disease, which leads to the search for informative biological markers of the disease, which can be used as immunological indicators of blood and urine. The study was carried out in order to establish the characteristic changes in the immunological parameters of blood and urine in patients with PIGN. The study included 60 patients with PIGN from among the patients, hospitalized in the nephrology department of the Republican Clinical Hospital of Health Care Ministry of the Chuvash Republic in 2015-2018.

Background: The actual task of electrocardiographic examinations is to increase the reliability of diagnosing the condition of the heart. Within the framework of this task, an important direction is the solution of the inverse problem of electrocardiography, based on the processing of electrocardiographic signals of multichannel cardio leads at known electrode coordinates in these leads (Titomir et al. Noninvasiv electrocardiotopography, 2003), (Macfarlane et al.

Objective: To conduct a complex examination of female patients with calcium oxalate urolithiasis to detect metabolic disorders, leading to stone formation.

Materials And Methods: The study was carried out using complex physical and chemical methods, including quantitative X-ray phase analysis of urinary stones, pH measurement, volumetry, urine and blood spectrophotometry.

Results: Quantitative mineralogical composition of stones, daily urine pH profile, daily urinary excretion of ions of calcium, magnesium, oxalate, phosphate, citrate and uric acid were determined in 20 female patients with calcium oxalate stones.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the range of individual variability in dimensions and topography of the mandibular incisive canal (MIC) in vivo.

Methods: One hundred cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans of patients from dental outpatient hospitals of Minsk, Belarus were performed on Galileos GAX5 using standard exposure and patient positioning protocol. Reformatted panoramic and sagittal CBCT images were analyzed.

The paper presents the results of the 1-year screening of biochemical parameters of urine in female patient with recurrent calcium urate urolithiasis. Based on the data of quantitative X-ray phase analysis of the composition of stone and a complex of clinical and laboratory examination, reasons for recurrent stone formation were determined. The main reasons included hypocitraturia, hyperosmolarity of urine and uric acid diathesis.

Aim: To estimate the frequency of a comorbidity of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and osteoarthrosis (OA) in relation to patient age and to identify risk factors for degenerative and dystrophic changes in the joints.

Subjects And Methods: 160 patients with type 2 diabetes (23 men and 137 women at the age of 44 to 82 years; body mass index 33 +/- 5 kg/m2 were examined. A control group consisted of 112 age- and gender-matched subjects without type 2 DM.

Adiponectin (Adn) is a protein that circulates in the blood in several oligomeric forms, namely low-, medium-, and high-molecular-weight forms. Adn may serve as a risk factor for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The aims of this work were (1) to produce monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) specific to different Adn oligomeric forms, (2) to design immunoassays suitable for measuring the Adn forms present in human blood, and (3) to investigate the changes in Adn forms that occur in patients with T2DM.

KCNQ channels have been identified in arterial smooth muscle. However, their role in vasoregulation and chronic vascular diseases remains elusive. We tested the hypothesis that KCNQ channels contribute to periadventitial vasoregulation in peripheral skeletal muscle arteries by perivascular adipose tissue and that they represent novel targets to rescue periadventitial vascular dysfunction.

Eight primary embryonic developmental stages were assigned to eggs of ballan wrasse Labrus bergylta using key morphological features following standardized nomenclature: Ia, Ib, II, III, IV, V, VI and VI+, reared from single family clutches under comparable environmental conditions in Ireland and Norway. Development in L. bergylta is typical of demersal marine finfish species with a short egg stage.

The study proposes a model of plant cell as an integral physical and physical-chemical water-dependent system of maximum structural complexity and complete combination of functions. The framework of this model allows analyzing any cell of simpler organization in any degree of reduction, animal cell included. The model justifies priority in the establishment of internal and functional (turgor) cell pressure of its cytoplasmatic solution high-molecular component along the chain: genome-->protein (quality and quantity)-->functional(turgor) pressure-->cell internal pressure-->water content in cell, gradual decrease of which results in cell death.

A total of 45 children aged 4-16 years with atopic bronchial asthma of different severity level-resulted from a past case of outhospital pneumonia, received vaccine "Pneumo 23" ("Aventis Pasteur", France). The vaccine was found to be well tolerated, no cases of the exacerbation of the atopic process were registered. A reliable Increased level of specific antibodies to the mixture of polysaccharides, contained in the vaccine "Pneumo 23", was found to occur.

Among the ten strains of marine fungi studied, the mycelial fungus Phoma glomerata showed maximum potency in producing N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase. The conditions for fungal growth and enzyme biosynthesis were evaluated. N-acetyl-beta-D-hexosaminidase was isolated from the culture liquid of Phoma glomerata by ion-exchange chromatography (on DEAE-cellulose and DEAE-Sephacell) and gel filtration (on Toyopearl HW-55) with a yield of 35%; the enzyme, purified 36.

New models of a sensor matrix and of a device designed for biomedical diagnostics are described. A radio-induction analysis technique applicable to hemodynamic parameters as well as the related equipment and soft meant for evaluating the functional condition of the cardiovascular system were elaborated. The potentialities of using the above computer system in medical diagnostics are defined.

We have conducted a comparative study of the lymphocyte surface antigens in patients with atopic bronchial asthma (ABA) in an acute stage and during clinical remission of the disease using a wide variety of monoclonal antibodies. In patients with ABA, independently of the stage of the disease, we have observed a decline in the total number of T lymphocytes due to cell reduction in both sub-populations--T helpers and cytotoxic T cells. During the acute phase of the disease a significant increase in the number of B lymphocytes at all stages of differentiation was observed.

We studied the capacity of cattle oocytes taken from ovaries with different morphofunctional state for development to metaphase 2 in vitro. A classification of ovaries has been proposed according to their morphofunctional state: (1) ovaries with a yellow body from the last cycle, without dominating follicle, with many follicles of varying diameter; (2) ovaries with a yellow body from the last cycle, with dominating follicle (from 10 mm in diameter); (3) ovaries with a large functioning yellow body and follicles of varying diameter; (4) ovaries with a follicular cystoid formation (more than 25 mm in diameter); (5) ovaries with a yellow body from past cycles and small (1-2 mm) follicles, supposedly with a weakened hormonal function. It was shown that the morphofunctional state of ovaries determined the total number of oocytes isolated from an ovary and number of morphologically normal oocytes feasible for cultivation.
