For more effective testing the abatement effects of radon exposure with different counter measures, an air-conditioned laboratory room was reformed as an experimental chamber. Based on the well control and real time monitoring of concentrations of 222Rn, its attached and unattached progeny and their size distributions, the chamber could provide three modules corresponding to ventilation, source reduction and filtration for abating radon exposure. Preliminary results showed that the chamber was useful for testing the abatement effect of indoor radon exposure.

For monitoring the ambient 14C, the CaCO3 suspension counting method was established in this work. In the preparation of CaCO3 powder, a two-stage sampler with 3 mol L-1 NaOH absorbent was designed to collect the ambient CO2 at a sampling flow rate of 1 L min-1, and then the CaCO3 was precipitated by adding saturated CaCl2 solution. Efficient intracellular delivery of bioactive compounds into cancer cells is critically important for treatment, as some compounds only validate for therapy after entering cancer cells. The boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) applies thermal neutron irradiation to react with B-compounds that existed inside cancer cells to generate secondary killing irradiations to eradicate cancer cells. ITGA2 (Integrin alpha-2) has been detected to be over-expressed in a number of cancers and has been suggested to be involved in cell adhesion and cell-surface mediated signaling. To assess the precision of the biological control of energy intake we performed a systematic review of studies that measured acute changes in human food intake in response to energetic errors. The imposed errors were grouped into the following categories of studies: alternate day fasting, changes in diet composition, exercise, meal skipping, overfeeding, energy substitutes, underfeeding and changes in portion size. Seven hundred thirty-nine studies published between 1980 and 2017 were identified from which the data from 592 groups from 200 studies were extracted and subjected to analysis consisting of a total of 13,203 participants.
