Here, we constructed a high-coverage peptide sequencing reference library with 11,668,944 open reading frames and employed an ultrafiltration tandem mass spectrometry assay to identify novel peptides. Through these methods, we discovered 8945 previously unannotated peptides from normal gastric tissues, gastric cancer tissues and cell lines, nearly half of which were derived from noncoding RNAs.

As the distance between the lead apron and the edge of the scan range increases, organ dose is expected to decrease, but with increasing scattered radiation dose in the body. This study developed a more universal tool for estimating the in vivo distribution of intake radionuclides. The biokinetic models and transfer rates for intake radionuclides were cited from the publications of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), and the models were transformed into a series of linear differential equations and numerically solved using the Scipy algorithm in Python. The user interfaces for model selection, data input and in vivo distribution calculations were designed using PyQt5.

As the integrated measurements of radon progeny are essential to its risk assessment, a new method based on the morphological analysis of tracks on CR-39 was established for the discrimination of alpha particles emitted from different progenies. The preliminary experiment confirmed its feasibility and revealed its potential for application in long-term surveys of indoor radon progeny. This new attempt was expected be benefit to the improvement of integrated measurements of radon progeny.

Background: Computed tomography (CT) offers detailed cross-sectional images of internal anatomy for disease detection but carries a risk of solid cancer or blood malignancies due to exposure to X-ray radiation. This study aimed to develop a new method to quickly predict patient-specific organ doses from CT examinations by training neural networks (NNs) based on radiomics features.
Methods: CT Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) image data were exported to DeepViewer, a clinical autosegmentation software, to segment the regions of interest (ROIs) for patient organs.
The liver is a primary target for distal metastasis of gastric cancer. The hepatic premetastatic niche (PMN) facilitates crucial communications between primary tumor and liver, thereby playing an essential role in hepatic metastasis. Identification of the molecular mechanisms driving PMN formation in gastric cancer could facilitate development of strategies to prevent and treat liver metastasis.
