The aim of the study was to improve the accuracy of the positioning of brackets in the conduct of orthodontic treatment of the anomalies of the dentoalveolar system. The developed method of positioning the brackets assumes a temporary fixation of the wire guides in accordance with the prospective longitudinal axis of the tooth before carrying out the orthopantomography (X-Ray picture) of the teeth. According to the OPG (orthopantomography), the accuracy of determining the longitudinal axes of the teeth is estimated, and if the fixed wire guides and longitudinal axes of the teeth do not coincide, the angle is measured and corrections are made by moving their gingival part to the required value, then the impressions from the patient's jaws are taken and diagnostic plaster models having precise guidelines axis.

The aim of this study was to study the relationship between the distal displacement of the mandible in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) with postural pathology. We examined 20 people from the control group (age 18-25 years) and 70 patients of the same age with temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJD) complicated by dentoalveolar anomalies (distal bite - 27 persons, orthognathic with anomalies of the position of individual teeth - 18, deep - 16, mesial - 4, straight - 2, open - 2, cross - 1), before and after treatment with occlusive tires. Cone beam computer tomography (CBCT) of the TMJ and photometric analysis were made to all those examined.

The article reviews the process of migration of nociogenic zones and principles of their integrative switching - off from the point of systematic approach and the informational-structural theory of pain. The phenomenon of migration of nociogenic zones underlies the development of clinical manifestations of pain.

The study examines the impact of weaved retraction cords on microcirculation in periodontal tissues and cytokines content in gingival fluid. The relationship between the strength of the traumatic agent during retraction of the gums and marginal periodontal phenotype was found out. Individual retraction method in each clinical case should be considered in order to avoid adverse aesthetic consequences of orthopedic treatment with non-removable dentures.

The study was conducted on 50 students with orthognatic bite aged from 17 to 23 years. After taking impressions of the upper and lower dental arches and making cast models these were fixed in articulator Inter-frame space in four ways: by means of facial arch oriented on Camper plane or Frankfurt horizontal, with the help of standard semianatomical table or HIP-analyzer and a table for fixing the HIP-plane. Occlusal contacts were checked with occlusion paper (200 microns, Bausch) in the central, lateral and anterior occlusion and then analyzed using Adobe Photoshop and Universal Desktop Ruler.

The interrelation between cerebral blood circulation and oral diseases as well as impact of prosthodontics treatment on cerebral hemodynamics was examined in the study. Cerebral hemodynamics was assessed by transcranial Doppler in 75 patients divided into three groups: (1) 30 patients with the initial form of vascular cerebral disorders (stage I-II); (2) 25 patients with severe vascular cerebral disorders (stage III); (3) 20 persons with no signs of encephalopathy as control group. Prosthodontic rehabilitation by full and partial teeth loss proved to contribute to normalization of indices of cerebral blood flow in patients with initial forms of cerebrovascular insufficiency (I and II stage of encephalopathy) and in patients with acute forms of insufficient brain blood supply (II and III stage of encephalopathy).

With the aim of prosthetic treatment efficacy increase study of edge parodontium tissue reaction upon different types of artificial crowns was done and methods of chronic localized parodontitis prevention were developed. Changes of the main gingival fluid characteristics (amount, acidity, interleukine-1beta concentration) and indicators of microcirculation in edge parodontium of the teeth under the artificial crowns influence were disclosed. There were developed methods of chronic localized parodontitis prevention produced by artificial crowns edge.

Use of the proposed computer modeling technology with taking into account the individual face size based upon multivariate statistical analysis with the possibility of art editing during the final stage of modeling let to take into consideration individual peculiarities of face structure and gender differences and to recreate individual form and sizes of front artificial teeth for non removable prosthetics. The results of computer modeling use in prosthetic treatment of patients with front teeth loss and the results of comparison with traditional method and also with preliminary use of computer modeling were demonstrated.

150 edentulous patients (78 men and 72 women) aged from 34 to 86 were examined and prosthodontically treated according to improved method. The method of taking preliminary and final mucodynamic impressions was suggested. Contractive activity of muscle groups related to the surrounding tissues was studied in comparison with the method of F.

Elastic stress distribution in abutment teeth, cement layer and abutment elements themselves was compared in cases of traditional half-crown and modified half-crown use. The results of the study let the authors come to the conclusion that when preparation rules were followed and exact adjustment the modified half-crown had advantages and could be used successfully.

Questions of studying of a biomechanics of system prosthesis - prosthetic region using of mathematical modelling are surveyed. The original way of definition of physical parameters of a mucosa of an edentulous alveolar process is offered. Modelling of a leaky adhering of prosthesis basis to a mucosa as free saddle situation shows, that a abutment teeth and an edentulous alveolar part of a jaw are in an optimum situation at sliding resilient fastening of a removable partial denture.

Demonstrates the advantages of computer preparation of teleroentgenograms (TRG) and their layout and deciphering for subsequent roentgenocephalometric analysis. Using a full-page scanner, TRG is recorded in a computer, which improves the image by transforming the histogram brightness and then superimposes this image on the contour of the initial image. The quality of layout is improved by a larger (at least two times) image on the monitor and anthropometric points marked strictly parallel to the abscissa and ordinate.

A method for the assessment of the reserve force of the periodontium is described, based on the estimation of the tooth root square size, degree of well atrophy, and tooth mobility. Periodontal strength coefficient was derived and a table, based on this coefficient, plotted. This coefficient and the table were used to assess the periodontal status of the remaining teeth when planning orthodontic treatment and to predict the immediate and late results of treatment.

Facial skeleton was studied by roentgenocephalometric analysis in 30 patients with mesial occlusion and in 63 with orthognathic occlusion. A multidimensional statistical analysis helped specify the pathogenesis of multidimensional occlusion, resultant, first of all, from discrepancy in the development of the jaws. This factor leads to the formation of the so-called forms of mesial occlusion, clinically the most incident.

The authors describe in detail the technique of analyzing teleroentgenograms recorded in the lateral projection; this technique is intended for research and practical studies and is based on the use of the most informative x-ray encephalometric parameters singled out with the use of multidimensional statistical computer-aided analysis. It includes preliminary diagnosis and detailed analysis of the features of facial skeleton structures development. Examples of the clinical use of this method for the diagnosis of dentition relations abnormalities are cited.

Comparative evaluation of the structure of facial skeleton was performed in 37 patients with distal occlusion and 63 subjects with orthognathic occlusion by means of x-ray cephalometric analysis. Multidimensional statistical analysis was used to clarify the pathogenesis of distal occlusion primarily caused by disparity in the jaws development. The latter elicits the so-called mixed forms of distal occlusion most common in patients.
