Purpose: To evaluate a new regression-derived nomogram for high myopic astigmatism in small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) surgery.
Methods: In this prospective study, data from 180 eyes with myopic astigmatism ranging from -2.50 to -4.
Epidemiological studies have confirmed the potential role of estrogen effects in influencing the development and outcome of leukemia. Estrogen effects are increasingly attracting research interest for their potential antitumor effects beyond gynecological tumors. However, their causal relationship remains unclear.

In a previous study, we identified a protein predicted to contain acyl-CoA-binding domains in the plant pathogenic fungus . The predicted protein, designated VdAcb1, possesses an atypical signal peptide.

Our goal was to look at the elements that influence the complexity of robot-assisted total mesorectal excision (R-TME) in the medical care of middle and low rectal cancer as well as to establish and validate a predictive model on the basis of these factors. Within this multicenter retrospective investigation, 166 consecutive patients receiving R-TME between January 2021 and December 2022 with middle and low rectal cancer were included and categorized according to the median operation time.

Methods: In this prospective, randomized study on high myopic astigmatic eyes, 74 patients with similar refractive error received SMILE in one eye and FS-LASIK in the contralateral eye were enrolled. The central stromal reduction was calculated by preoperative and postoperative central stromal thickness (CST) measurements by the RTVue optical coherence tomography (OCT).

With the growing adoption of hydrogen energy and the rapid advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, there is an increasing demand for high-performance hydrogen gas (H) sensors. Among various sensor types, chemiresistive H sensors have emerged as particularly promising due to their excellent sensitivity, fast response times, cost-effectiveness, and portability. This review comprehensively examines the recent progress in chemiresistive H sensors, focusing on developments over the past five years in nanostructured materials such as metals, metal oxide semiconductors, and emerging alternatives.

Objective: To summarize the research hotspots and trends in the field of bacteriophage and cancer.
Methods: The downloaded articles were searched from the Web of Science Core Collection database from January 2008 to June 2023.
Background: Numerous studies have demonstrated that hypothermia in preterm infants correlates with increased morbidity and mortality, especially among those with very low or extremely low birth weights (VLBW/ELBW). An increasing number of healthcare facilities are implementing quality improvement (QI) bundles to lower the incidence of hypothermia at birth in this vulnerable population. However, the effectiveness and safety of these interventions have yet to be fully assessed.

Methods: Seventy-four patients with myopic astigmatism of greater than -2.00 diopters (D) and little binocular difference in spherical equivalent were included in this contralateral comparative study.
Purpose: To compare rotational stability of the implantable collamer lens (ICL) between horizontal and vertical implantation.
Setting: Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Guangzhou, China.
Design: Prospective 1:1 matched design.
Breast cancer ranks as one of the most common malignancies among women, with its prognosis and therapeutic efficacy heavily influenced by factors associated with the tumor cell biology, particularly the tumor microenvironment (TME). The diverse elements of the TME are engaged in dynamic bidirectional signaling interactions with various pathways, which together dictate the growth, invasiveness, and metastatic potential of breast cancer. The Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway, first identified in Drosophila, has been established as playing a critical role in human development and disease.

Objective: To develop gut bacterial subtypes and explore potential microbial targets for CRC.
Methods: Stool samples from 914 volunteers (376 CRCs, 363 advanced adenomas, and 175 normal controls) were included for 16S rRNA sequencing.
Leaf spreading is a key processing step that affects the aroma formation of green tea. The effects of a single-light wavelength on the aroma and taste of tea have been extensively studied. Less attention has been paid to the effect of different complex light intensities on the formation of green tea's volatile aroma during leaf spreading.

Objective: To analyze the characteristic microbes in AA.
Methods: Fecal samples were collected from 92 AA and 184 negative control (NC).
Background: Pancreatic cancer (PCA) is an extremely aggressive malignant cancer with an increasing incidence and a low five-year survival rate. The main reason for this high mortality is that most patients are diagnosed with PCA at an advanced stage, missing early treatment options and opportunities. As important nutrients of the human body, trace elements play an important role in maintaining normal physiological functions.

This issue has gained significant attention, particularly due to the consecutive large-scale retractions carried out by renowned international publishers, which have aroused widespread concern in the society.
Objective: To analyze the data of retracted articles and retraction trends.
Schwertmannite (Sch) holds a great promise as an iron material for remediating Arsenic (As)-contaminated paddy soils, due to its extremely high immobilization capacities for both arsenate [As(V)] and arsenite [As(III)]. However, there is still limited knowledge on the mineral phase transformation of this metastable iron-oxyhydroxysulfate mineral in paddy soils, particularly under different water management regimes including aerobic, intermittent flooding, and continuous flooding, and how its phase transformation impacts the migration of As in paddy soils. In this study, a membrane coated with schwertmannite was first developed to directly reflect the phase transformation of bulk schwertmannite applied to paddy soils.
