Objectives: To explore the epidemiological characteristics of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection in children in Nanchang and its correlation with climate environmental factors.
Methods: The clinical data were collected from children with acute respiratory infection in Nanchang who were tested for RSV at Jiangxi Provincial Children's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2023, along with climate environmental data for the same period. The epidemiological characteristics of RSV and their correlation with climate environmental factors were investigated.
Objectives: To study the efficacy and safety of Xiyanping injection through intramuscular injection for the treatment of acute bronchitis in children.
Methods: A prospective study was conducted from December 2021 to October 2022, including 78 children with acute bronchitis from three hospitals using a multicenter, randomized, parallel-controlled design. The participants were divided into a test group (conventional treatment plus Xiyanping injection; =36) and a control group (conventional treatment alone; =37) in a 1:1 ratio.

Objectives: To study the demographic features of children with allergic diseases receiving standardized sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) and the influencing factors for the compliance with SLIT.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on the demographic features and follow-up data of 1 789 children with allergic diseases who received SLIT in Children's Hospital of Jiangxi Province from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020. The compliance with SLIT and its influencing factors were analyzed.
Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) are rare but life-threatening severe adverse drug reactions. The use of corticosteroids and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) in SJS/TEN remains controversial. In this single-center, observational, propensity-matched, retrospective study, we collected a total of 224 patients with SJS/TEN who were hospitalized in our department from 2008 to 2019; according to treatment with IVIg combined with corticosteroids or with corticosteroids alone, patients were divided into combination therapeutic group (163 patients) and monotherapeutic group (61 patients).

Lately, chemotherapy and photodynamic therapy (PDT) synergistic therapy has become a promising anti-cancer treatment mean. However, the hypoxia in tumor leads to huge impediments to the oxygen-dependent PDT effects. In this work, a multifunctional nanoplatform (TUDMP) based on a multivariable porphyrin-nMOFs core and a manganese dioxide (MnO) shell was prepared for relieving tumor hypoxia and enhancing chemo-photodynamic synergistic therapy performance.

Due to the hypoxic environment in tumors, the major limit of PDT seems to be the source of oxygen. In this work, we attempted to relieve hypoxia and enhance photodynamic therapy, and therefore, designed and assembled a catalytic cascade-enhanced PDT multifunctional nanoplatform.

Aim: To describe the clinical features of acute myopic onset of optic neuropathy and observe the effects of retrobulbar and systemic glucocorticoid therapy in a real-world setting.
Methods: A retrospective observational case series included 18 patients with a clinical diagnosis of acute onset of myopic optic neuropathy in a real-world setting. While the patients were using retrobulbar and systemic glucocorticoid therapy, various imaging examination data were analysed, and the clinical features of myopic optic neuropathy were summarized for 6mo to 2y.

Cancer is a major disease burden worldwide. In recent years, in addition to surgical resection, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are recognized as the most effective methods for treating solid tumors. These methods have been introduced to treat tumors of different origins and stages clinically.

Enucleation is usually performed in adult cases because of the atypical presentations and malignant features of the tumor, which lead to misdiagnosis.

Therefore, exploring to accomplish high therapeutic performance is a challenging and urgent task. Since the nanoparticles unique properties were discovered, they have displayed promising potential for more effective therapies and have been widely used in photodynamic therapy (PDT) and radiation therapy (RT).

Herein, we chose imidazo [1,5-α]pyridine moiety as the basic fluorophore for the detection of sulfite, and preliminarily completed the toolset since biothiols (GSH, Cys, Hcy), HS, and PhSH could be detected by sensors based on the same backbone. The designed sensor, IPD-SFT, with structural novelty and large Stokes shift (130 nm), indicated the most attractive advantages of remarkably rapid response period (within 1 min) and high selectivity for sulfite from all the sulfur-containing species.

Here, a multifunctional nanoplatform (ZDZP@PP) based on a zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67) core as a hydrogen peroxide catalyst, a zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) shell with a pH-responsive property, and a polydopamine-poly(ethylene glycol) (PDA-PEG) layer for improving the biocompatibility is fabricated for not only relieving tumor hypoxia but also enhancing the efficacy of combination chemo-photodynamic therapy. The chemotherapy drug doxorubicin (DOX) and photosensitizer protoporphyrin IX (PpIX) are encapsulated in different layers independently; thus, a unique two-stage stepwise release becomes possible.

A mooring array, deployed for two years southeast of Miyakojima in the southern portion of the Ryukyu Island chain, has provided, for the first time, data confirming the existence and revealing the characteristics of the RC in that upstream region, including its velocity structure and variability. The observations show a shoreward-intensified current flowing northeastward, with a subsurface core located near the 1,000 m isobath and having a record-long mean speed of up to 19.

However, paired ALL samples of initial diagnosis and relapse subjected to next-generation sequencing (NGS) could construct clonal lineage changes, and help to explore the key issues in the evolutionary process of tumor clones. Therefore, we aim to analyze gene alterations during the initial diagnosis and relapse of ALL patients and to explore the underlying mechanism.

Coast-fitting tomographic inversion that is based on function expansion using three types of normal modes (the Dirichlet, Neumann, and open boundary modes) is proposed to reconstruct current fields from the coastal acoustic tomography (CAT) data. The superiority of the method was validated while using CAT data that were obtained in 2015 in the Dalian Bay. The semidiurnal tidal and residual current fields were accurately reconstructed over the entire model domain surrounded by coasts and open boundaries.

Near-inertial waves (NIWs), which have clockwise (anticlockwise) rotational motion in the Northern (Southern) Hemisphere, exist everywhere in the ocean except at the equator; their frequencies are largely determined by the local inertial frequency, f. It is thought that they supply about 25% of the energy for global ocean mixing through turbulence resulting from their strong current shear and breaking; this contributes mainly to upper-ocean mixing which is related to air-sea interaction, typhoon genesis, marine ecosystem, carbon cycle, and climate change. Observations and numerical simulations have shown that the low-mode NIWs can travel many hundreds of kilometres from a source region toward the equator because the lower inertial frequency at lower latitudes allows their free propagation.
