A new efficient pyridine-hydrazone-substituted naphthalimide receptor 4a-E has been synthesized as a selective colorimetric and fluorescent chemosensor for cyanide sensing in aqueous environments through a unique excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) mechanism. The addition of a Br group to the fluorophore skeleton at the ortho-position of hydrazone generates reference compounds (4b-E and 4c-Z). Interestingly, the potential intramolecular NHBr hydrogen bonding might compete with the anion-induced intermolecular NHA- hydrogen bonding, resulting in dramatic ESIPT suppression.

Background: CKS1 is highly expressed in colon cancer tissues, and is essential for cancer cell proliferation. The downstream molecular mechanism of CKS1 has been fully studied, but the upstream regulatory mechanism of it is still unclear. In order to reveal the migration law and profile control efficiency of the emulsion system in the core of class III reservoir (the permeability less than 100 mD), the influence of the size and distribution of the droplets, the effect of the migration law and the adjustment of the interlayer contradiction to class III reservoir are studied in this paper. By measuring the droplet distribution in the emulsion system, we found that the average droplet diameter decreases with the increase in water cut. But, the droplet distribution is the most uniform when the water cut is 50%, which is the transition point of the emulsion.
