The global coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has become one of the biggest threats to the world since 2019. The respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts are the main targets for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection for they highly express angiotensin-converting enzyme-2 and transmembrane protease serine 2. In patients suffering from COVID-19, gastrointestinal symptoms have ranged from 12% to 61%.

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and energy disperse spectroscopy tests further prove the existence of vanadium. Ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy and density functional theoretical studies indicate that the energy level of 1 matches well with the conduction band of the TiO2.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 62 CSCLC patients who were treated at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital from July 2000 to April 2013 and administered with TEP/TCE regimen (n=19) or EP/CE regimen (n=43) as first-line CSCLC treatment. All patients received more than two cycles of chemotherapy, and the response was evaluated every two cycles.
Molecular medical research on aromatherapy has been steadily increasing for use as an adjuvant therapy in managing psychiatric disorders and to examine its therapeutic mechanisms. Most studies, as well as clinically applied experience, have indicated that various essential oils, such as lavender, lemon and bergamot can help to relieve stress, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. Most notably, inhalation of essential oils can communicate signals to the olfactory system and stimulate the brain to exert neurotransmitters (e.

Magnetic study reveals the presence of a SMM-like slow magnetic relaxation feature in the heterometallic cluster-containing POM.

In compound 1, a wheel-type {P(8)W(48)} containing two {Cu(4)} clusters and two isolated Cu cations results in a 10-Cu-containing polyoxotungstate, which represents the first {P(8)W(48)}-based compound trapping two transition metal (TM) clusters in its inner cavity. Further, the polyoxoanion was connected by Na(+) and Li(+) cations into a 3D framework.

Objective: To observe the correlation between long term efficacy/safety and treatment cycles of rh-endostatin (endostar) combined with TP (paclitaxel plus cisplatin/carboplatin) or NP (navelbine plus cisplatin/carboplatin) regimens in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: Twenty-five patients with advanced NSCLC confirmed by histopathology and/or cytology were enrolled in this study. Twenty-one patients underwent endostar combined with NP regimen and other four patients underwent endostar combined with TP regimen (all repeated 21 days) treatment.
Purpose: The present study was designed to elucidate the fluctuation of activated CECs (aCECs) during different therapies and to investigate their predictive value for efficacy of anti-angiogenesis and chemotherapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: Seventy-two patients were randomized into three arms, treated with concomitant NP (vinorelbine and cisplatin) and Rh-endostatin, Rh-endostatin followed by NP, and single NP up to a maximum of six cycles. Response, time to progression (TTP), and aCECs levels were observed.
Background: Recombinant human endostatin (rh-endostatin, Endostar) has been proved to be an inhibitor of angiogenesis. Docetaxel has been also considered as a common chemotherapeutic agent with inhibition of angiogenesis of malignancies. However, their function has been seldom compared and a best synergism protocol is not determined.

Objective: To observe and analyze the antitumor effect of endostar combined with docetaxel under different administration sequences.
Methods: Nude mice with xenograft tumor (A549 cell line) were randomized into 3 groups, 8 mice/group: (1) Concurrent administration group (each mouse: endostar 400 µg/d, d1-d35, docetaxel 10 mg/kg, every 3 days, d1-d19); (2) Endo-first group (each mouse: endostar 400 µg/d, d1-d35, docetaxel 10 mg/kg, every 3 days, d16-d34); (3) Model group (positive control, tumor-bearing mice without treatment, each mouse: physiological saline, 100 µl/d, d1-d35, water for injection, 200 µl/d, d1-d35, every 3 days), and blank control group (negative control, normal mice without treatment, 8 mice), the administration method was the same to the model group. The volume of tumor and the weight of mouse were measured during treatment.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Endosteal(TM) (rh-endostatin, YH-16) combined with docetaxel and carboplatin (TP) regimen for the adjuvant treatment of non-small lung cancer (NSCLC) and its impact on circulating blood markers.
Methods: 36 patients with stage Ib-IIIa postoperative NSCLC, were randomly divided into the treatment group, Endosteal(TM) plus TP regimen, and the control group, TP regimen only, respectively. DFS and toxicities of patients were observed.

Objective: To study the significance of intra-tumoral cavitation in the patients with advanced NSCLC treated by rh-endostatin plus NP chemotherapy.
Methods: Fifty-seven patients with advanced NSCLC were randomly assigned to receive chemotherapy with rh-endostatin plus NP or NP alone. The numbers of activated circulating endothelial cells (aCECs) were measured by flow cytometry.
Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is suggested to be intimately involved in the progression of malignancies. Our previous research has demonstrated that activation of cholecystokinin-2 receptor (CCK2R) by gastrin stimulates a rapid activation of FAK pathway in human colon cancer cells. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of CCK2R and FAK in the progression of colon cancer.

This study was to detect expressions of COX-2 and CCK-B receptor in human colonic cancer tissue and relevant adjacent noncancerous mucosa, explore their significances in tumorigenesis and development of colorectal cancer.
Methods: Semi-quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect expressions of COX-2 and CCK-B receptor in 35 specimens of colonic cancer tissues and relevant adjacent noncancerous mucosa.
