Eliminating topological defects to achieve monodomain liquid crystals is highly significant for the fundamental studies of soft matter and building long-range ordered materials. However, liquid crystals are metastable and sensitive to external stimuli, such as flow, confinement, and electromagnetic fields, which cause their intrinsic polycrystallinity and topological defects. Here, we achieve the monodomain liquid crystals of graphene oxide over 30 cm through boundary-free sheargraphy.

Construction of electrochemically stable positive materials is still a key challenge to accomplish high rate performance and long cycling life of asymmetric supercapacitors (ASCs). Herein, a novel cobalt⁻zinc mixed oxide/hydroxide (CoZn-MOH) hierarchical porous film electrode was facilely fabricated based on a cobalt⁻zinc-based metal⁻organic framework for excellent utilization in ASC. The as-constructed hierarchical porous film supported on conductive Ni foam possesses a rough surface and abundant macropores and mesopores, which allow fast electron transport, better exposure of electrochemically active sites, and facile electrolyte access and ion diffusion.

As an organochlorine insecticide, endosulfan has been widely banned or restricted, but it is still largely used in many developing countries. Previous studies have shown multiple adverse health effects of endosulfan. However, the neurotoxicity of endosulfan has not been fully elucidated.

Following urbanization, a large number of urban rivers were contaminated and turned to black-odor rivers. The traditional approach for detecting water quality is based on chemical or physical analysis. However, biological toxicity of black-odor water has been less addressed.
