Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Zhengyuan capsule () when treating Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) in lung cancer patients undergoing surgical operation.
Methods/design: This is a single-center, double-blinded, prospective, and randomized controlled trial in the Department of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, Shanghai Chest Hospital Shanghai JiaoTong University, Shanghai. Eligible participants will be randomly allocated into two groups: a treatment group receiving an 8-week Zhengyuan capsule regimen therapy and a control group receiving an 8-week placebo capsule regimen therapy.
Background: Chlamydia is gram-negative obligate bacteria which causes a wide variety of diseases in humans and animals. To date, there are a few reports about the seroprevalence of Chlamydia and the risk factors associated with Chlamydia infection in yaks in the world. In this study, 974 blood samples were collected from white yaks (Bos grunniens) in Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, Gansu province, northwest China from June 2013 to April 2014.

In the present study, 1732 blood samples, collected from Tibetan sheep between June 2013 and April 2014, were examined by the indirect hemagglutination (IHA) test, aiming to evaluate the seroprevalence and risk factors of C. abortus infection in Tibetan sheep.

Method: In our experiment, HCCLM3-R cells were injected into nude mice to form subcutaneous human HCC tumors that were implanted into the liver to establish orthotopic transplantation tumor models.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common and aggressive cancer, and the treatment options are limited for patients with advanced HCC. Bufalin, the major digoxin-like component of the traditional Chinese medicine Chansu, exhibits significant anti-tumor activities in many tumor cell lines. In the present study, we investigated the effect of bufalin on the inhibition of an AKT-related signaling pathway, and examined the relationship between regulatory proteins and anti-tumor effects in hepatoma cells.

This LAMP assay based on the sequence of highly repetitive omp25 gene was able to detect 9fg/μl Brucella spp. DNA with high sensitivity, which was 10 times higher than the nested PCR.

This target protein was used as a coating antigen to establish an indirect ELISA for specifically detecting anti-CSFV antibodies in serum samples from pigs.

The optimal concentration of coated antigen was 0.3 microg/well at a serum dilution of 1:40.

An indirect G(1)-ELISA with the recombinant protein as the coating antigen was established to detect antibodies against BEFV. The result revealed that the optimal concentration of the coated antigen was 0.
