Objective: Ovarian cancer significantly impacts women's reproductive health and remains challenging to diagnose and treat. Despite advancements in understanding DNA repair mechanisms and identifying novel therapeutic targets, additional strategies are still needed. Recently, a novel form of cell death called disulfidptosis, which is triggered by glucose deprivation, has been linked to treatment resistance and changes in the tumor microenvironment (TME).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTiO has broad prospects in reducing the safety risks posed by emerging pollutants in water environments. However, the high recombination rate of photogenerated carriers limits the activity and photon utilization efficiency of TiO. In this study, mesoporous TiO (m-TiO) and ultra-thin g-CN nanosheets were composited using a hydrothermal method, with the m-TiO tightly and uniformly wrapped by g-CN.

The results indicate that the solution treatment temperature has a significant influence on the γ' structure and mechanical properties. The sub-solvus solution treatment resulted in the co-existence of residual primary coarse γ' precipitates and fine secondary γ' precipitates, while the super-solvus solution treatments led to the complete dissolution of the primary γ' precipitates and the precipitation of a nano-sized secondary spherical γ' precipitate.

However, the performance of p-MPSCs is severely compromised by iodine defects. This study presents a strategy by incorporating polyaniline (PANI) to achieve both iodine recycling and iodine defect passivation to significantly improve the performance of p-MPSCs.

This study examined the burden of CKD due to type 1 diabetes (CKD-T1D) and type 2 diabetes (CKD-T2D) among those aged 10-35 from 1990 to 2021 on global, regional, and national levels.
Methods: Using Global Burden of Disease 2021 data, joinpoint regression analysis and decomposition analysis were employed to identify significant changes in CKD-T1D and CKD-T2D trends, including incidence, prevalence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs).
Background: Prior research indicates a potential link between dyslipidemia and endometriosis (EMs). However, the relationship between remnant cholesterol (RC) and EMs has not been thoroughly investigated. Consequently, looking into and clarifying the connection between RC and EMs was the primary goal of this study.

To identify circulating miRNAs for the early diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), we conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the diagnostic utility of miRNAs in HCC and further validated the results of the meta-analysis. English articles published prior to December 2023 were retrieved from databases including PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science.

This study aimed to identify the central symptoms that bridge adolescents and parental psychopathological symptoms and the specific symptom pathways by using a novel network approach. From September to October 2021, a cross-sectional study was conducted in Wuhan, China.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAmmonia has been an important industrial colorless agent. Exposure to gaseous ammonia results in organ damage or even death. Herein, an environmentally friendly colorimetric detector for aqueous and gaseous ammonia was prepared utilizing vapochromic polylactic acid nanofibers.

However, current approaches often lack comprehensive analysis that integrates diverse roadway geometries, crash patterns, and two-dimensional (2D) vehicle dynamics, limiting both their accuracy and generalizability. This study addresses these gaps by employing a high-fidelity, 2D time-to-collision (TTC) near-miss indicator derived from autonomous vehicle (AV) sensor data.

Objectives: A mathematical model was created for extraction process optimization, analysis and identification, activity screening, and isolation and purification; moreover, the mechanism of action was studied.
Methods: First, the extraction of PRP was investigated using the gray wolf optimization mathematical regression model; the extraction variables were optimized to maximize the yield.
Probing regional glycogen metabolism in humans non-invasively has been challenging due to a lack of sensitive approaches. Here we studied human muscle glycogen dynamics post-exercise with a spatial resolution of millimeters and temporal resolution of minutes, using relayed nuclear Overhauser effect (glycoNOE) MRI. Data at 5T showed a homogeneous distribution of glycogen in resting muscle, with an average concentration of 99 ± 13 mM.

Herein, we report the rational design of the first series of "Head-to-Tail" macrocyclic PROTACs. The resulting molecule exhibited pronounced Brd4 protein degradation with low nM DC values while almost totally dismissing the "hook effect", which is a general character and common concern of a PROTAC, in multiple cancer cell lines.

This study employs quantitative computed tomography (CT) to quantify LFC and aims to investigate the correlation and dose-response relationship between UHR levels and LFC in Chinese adults. Based on the health check-up data from 2021 at Henan Provincial People's Hospital, China, the objective of this cross-sectional study was to investigate the association between UHR levels and LFC among individuals of different genders.

The objective of this research was to examine the alterations in both static and dynamic facial symmetry following the resection of the depressor labii inferioris on the healthy side through an intraoral approach.
Methods: Patients exhibiting palsy of the depressor labii inferioris muscles were included in the study.
Despite the widespread use of voriconazole in antifungal treatment, its high pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic variability may lead to suboptimal efficacy, especially in intensive care unit (ICU) patients. Machine learning (ML), an artificial intelligence modeling approach, is increasingly being applied to personalized medicine. The effectiveness of ML models for predicting voriconazole blood concentrations in ICU patients, compared to traditional population pharmacokinetics (popPK) models, has been uncertain until now.
