Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Wen-Shen-Tong-Luo-Zhi-Tong-Decoction (WSTLZTD) is a traditional Chinese medicine formula, and its effectiveness in the treatment of senile osteoporosis(SOP) has been confirmed by clinical studies. However, the underlying mechanism of WSTLZTD in SOP is unclear.
Aim Of The Study: This study aimed to clarify the unique effects of Wen-Shen-Tong-Luo-Zhi-Tong-Decoction(WSTLZTD) on senile osteoporosis(SOP) and its underlying mechanisms.
Environmental carcinogens such as N-nitrosamines are high-risk factors for the development of esophageal cancer (EC). However, the association between nitrosamines exposure and lipid metabolism disorders in human EC remained largely obscure. Therefore, we conducted a population-based case-control study established with esophageal inflammation (BCH), esophageal heterotrophic hyperplasia (DYS), patients with primary EC and matched controls in high prevalence area of EC in China.

The approach utilizes a sequential cascade process of difluoroalkylation, 1,5-hydrogen atom transfer, C(sp)-N cleavage, and intramolecular condensation cyclization to accomplish efficient [3 + 2] cycloaddition of readily available propargylamines with halodifluoroacetates (or halodifluoroacetamides). The reaction allows for the selective construction of polysubstituted 3,3-difluoro-γ-lactams with good functional group tolerance, and further transformations of the resulting 3,3-difluoro-γ-lactams into different building blocks are also accomplished.

This study aims to determine which anti-glioma medication presents the lowest risk for personalized use in clinical patients by assessing the adverse drug reactions (ADRs) associated with these medications as reported in the World Health Organization (WHO) VigiAcess database, and by comparing the characteristics of adverse responses among the three drugs.
Methods: This investigation employs a retrospective descriptive analysis method.
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune neuromuscular disorder that most frequently affects the extraocular muscles (EOMs), which causes symptoms such as ptosis and restricted eye movement. The EOMs in MG patients are representative of autoimmune inflammatory changes in muscle tissue. Currently, there is no reliable, and sensitive imaging technique for monitoring EOM changes to assist in the evaluation of underlying pathological changes.

Therefore, the dietary contraindications for patients with IBS require further supplementation. Recent investigations have revealed that ginger consumption may pose a risk of aggravating the symptoms and incidence of IBS; however, the specific mechanism remains unknown.

Elucidating the interactions between herbicide toxicity and soil properties could help assess its phytotoxicity based on local soil characteristics. Here, the influence of soil properties on the accumulation and toxicity of clomazone as a model compound to corn was explored to obtain a universal indicator for estimating the toxicity of herbicides against crops.

Severe empathy fatigue can even lead to medical disputes and errors, exacerbating increasingly tense doctor-patient relationships. Most studies on empathy fatigue focus on nurses, with few studies on physicians.

Here, a dual-network (DN) hydrogel PM@Cur, which includes curcumin, is fabricated through chemical crosslinking and hydrogen bonding interactions. The resulting hydrogels can withstand more than five freeze-thaw cycles at -80 °C, and resist brittleness after liquid nitrogen treatment.

The prominent problem in the narrative medicine is the lack of adequate attention and devotion. This study aimed to investigate Chinese medical staffs' narrative competence and the influencing factors, confirming whether the level of narrative competence is different in different hospital settings.

Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological features, immunophenotypes, molecular genetic alterations, and prognosis of succinate dehydrogenase-deficient renal cell carcinoma (SDH-RCC).
Methods: A total of 11 cases of SDH-RCC diagnosed at West China Hospital, Sichuan University between 2016 and 2023 were selected for clinicopathological, immunohistochemical, and DNA sequencing analyses.
Results: Among the 11 cases of SDH-RCC, there were 5 male patients and 6 female patients.
Retinal neovascularization (RNV) disease is one of the leading causes of blindness, yet the molecular underpinnings of this condition are not well understood. To delve into the critical aspects of cell-mediated angiogenesis, we analyzed our previously published single-cell data. Our analysis revealed that retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells serve a crucial promotional function in angiogenesis.

Deciphering the molecular mechanisms underlying transdifferentiation from adenocarcinoma to NEPC may provide valuable therapeutic strategies. We performed a pan-cancer differential mRNA abundance analysis and identified that Kinesin-like protein (KIF1A) was highly expressed in NEPC.

To explore the molecular regulatory mechanisms of fucoidan's alleviation of HFD-induced lipid deposition in liver, black seabream (Acanthopagrus schlegelii) was used to construct in vivo and in vitro HFD models. In vivo HFD stimulated the protein kinase RNA-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase (Perk) pathway, and up-regulated proliferator-activated receptor gamma (Pparγ) nuclear translocation and expression of lipogenic genes, while it down-regulated Ppar alpha (Pparα) nuclear translocation and expression of lipolytic genes.

We thus consider that isoQC could represent a novel target for cancer therapy. We previously prepared a series of diphenyl conjugated imidazole derivatives (DPCIs) and evaluated their use as glutaminyl cyclase (QC) inhibitors.
