This study investigated the effect of maternal or post-weaning MET-supplementation on growth performance, carcass characteristics, and meat quality of the finishing (d 180) offspring. Twenty-four sows were placed on a control (C) or MET-supplemented diet during pregnancy and lactation.

A total of 24 multiparous sows were randomly fed the control (CON) or the CON diet supplemented with methyl donors (MD) at 3 g/kg betaine, 15 mg/kg folic acid, 400 mg/kg choline and 150 μg/kg VB , from mating until delivery. After farrowing, sows were fed a common lactation diet through a 28-days lactation period and six litters per treatment were selected to be fed until at approximately 110 kg BW.

In order to explore the advantage of intercropping on phosphorus (P) efficient utilization and the reduction of soil P loss, a field experiment in a maize-soybean intercropping system, which included three P application (PO) rates (CP: 168 kg·hm; RP: 135 kg·hm; RP: 101 kg·hm) and three P application depths (D: applied in 5 cm depth; D: applied in 15 cm depth; D: 1/2 of P fertilizer applied in 5 cm depth and another 1/2 in 15 cm depth) was carried out to analyze the effects of P application rates and depth on crop aboveground biomass, grain yield, crop P uptake, soil total and available P contents, and soil P adsorption-desorption characteristics. Compared with control treatment, the aboveground biomass, grain yield, crop P uptake, soil total P, and available P content were increased significantly by P application, regardless of P rate and application depth. Under the same application depth, RP had similar grain yield but higher crop P uptake compared with CP, and thus higher P apparent utilization efficiency.

Dermal regeneration template, such as Integra and Pelnac, was originally designed for treating large area burn injury by inducing regeneration of dermis. To date, it has been widely applied in various acute and chronic wound sites. The present study demonstrated that application of artificial dermis alone induced 1-stage wound healing for wounds with bone or tendon exposure that should usually be repaired by flap surgery.

Pharmacological blockage of NAAA elevates PEA levels and exerts powerful anti-inflammatory activities. We have recently identified a highly potent NAAA inhibitor F215.

A total of 30 cross-bred (Danish Landrace × Yorkshire) multiparous sows (parity 2 to 5) were used. Sows were fed a standard gestation diet from mating until day 108 of gestation, and then stratified for BW (295.

General consumption of "western diet" characterized by high refined carbohydrates, fat and energy intake has resulted in a global obesity epidemics and related metabolic disturbance even for pregnant women. Pregnancy process is accompanied by substantial hormonal, metabolic and immunological changes during which gut microbiota is also remarkably remodeled. Dietary fiber has been demonstrated to have a striking role in shifting the microbial composition so as to improve host metabolism and health in non-pregnant individuals.

Oxidative C-H/P-H cross-coupling reactions via C-C(C═O) bond cleavage and mechanistic studies are conducted preliminarily, and a possible mechanism is proposed. This novel method proceeds in good to excellent yields, shows operational simplicity, broad substrate scope, and large-scale preparation.

Tumor-targeting combination chemotherapy is an important way to improve the therapeutic index and reduce the side effects as compared to traditional cancer treatments. However, one of the major challenges in surface functionalization of nanoparticle (NP) is accomplishing multiple purposes through one single ligand. Upon such consideration, methotrexate (MTX), an anticancer drug with a targeting moiety inspired by the similar structure of folate, could be used to covalently link with lipid-polymer conjugate (DSPE-PEG) via a pH-sensitive dynamic covalent imine (CH═N) bond to synthesize the acid-induced function "targeting-anticancer" switching DSPE-PEG-CH═N-MTX.

However, it requires computing tensor singular value decomposition (t-SVD), which costs much computation and thus cannot efficiently handle tensor data, due to its natural large scale. Motivated by TNN, we propose a novel low-rank tensor factorization method for efficiently solving the 3-way tensor completion problem.

To increase their accumulation at tumor sites while decreasing the unintended toxicity, a possible solution is the involvement of two separate tumor-specific ligands in the localization. In this study, a dual tumor-targeting drug-loaded NP system was self-assembled by the amphiphilic conjugate of methotrexate-hyaluronic acid-octadecylamine (MTX-HA-OCA) with curcumin (CUR) encapsulated within the hydrophobic core (designated as MTX-HA-OCA/CUR NPs).

In addition to the genetic abnormality, a dysregulated immune system also has an important role in the pathogenesis of B-ALL. Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) represent one of the key drivers in immune tolerance against tumor cells, including various solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.

In thisarticle, on the basis of drug-phospholipid complex technique and self-assembly technique, we chose a pharmacologically safe and low toxic drug curcumin (CUR) to increase drug-loading ability, achieve controlled/sustained drug release and improve anticancer activity.

In the present study, we found that RARγ was frequently overexpressed in human CRC specimens and CRC cell lines, and it mainly resided in the cytoplasm in CRC specimens.

In part because of the lack of effective treatment methods, the incidence and mortality rates of this disease continue to increase. Rapidly accumulating evidence suggests that dysregulation of epigenetic mechanisms, including DNA methylation/demethylation, chromatin modification, and remodeling, and diverse activities of noncoding RNAs, play a central role in the pathogenesis of melanoma.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of supplementing lactating sows with HMB on skeletal muscle fiber type transformation and growth of the offspring during d 28 and 180 after birth. A total of 20 sows according to their body weight were divided into the control (CON, = 10) or HMB groups (HMB, = 10).
