Objective: Using rabbit models, this study simulated the laryngopharynx's response to the synergistic effects of various acidic reflux environments and pepsin to investigate the response mechanism underlying weak acid reflux and pepsin in the mucosal barrier injury of laryngopharyngeal reflux.
Methods: The rabbits were divided into six groups, and the original larynx was recorded for each group. During the study period, rabbits were sprayed with different doses of acid and pepsin solutions and monitored for hypopharyngeal mucosal transient impedance before and after modeling.
The KangDuo Surgical Robot-1500 (KD-SR-1500) is a newly developed surgical robot. We aim to evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of the KD-SR-1500 system for robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP). This prospective, multicenter, single-arm clinical study was conducted among 18-75-year-old patients with suspected T1-2N0M0 prostate cancer scheduled for RARP.

This study aimed to investigate the roles of neuropilin 1 (NRP1) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). NRP1 expression was assessed in tumor tissues from patients with osimertinib-resistant (OR) NSCLC and osimertinib-responsive NSCLC as well as in patients with paracancerous NSCLC tissues who did not undergo radiotherapy or chemotherapy.

Desaturases such as stearoyl-CoA desaturase (SCD) and fatty acid desaturase 2 (FADS2) have been implicated in multiple cancers, and their dominant and compensatory effects have recently been highlighted. However, how tumors initiate and sustain their self-sufficient FA desaturation to maintain phenotypic transition remains elusive.

Methods: We prospectively enrolled patients with a local renal tumor for RAPN between March 2019 and Mar 2022. 3D virtual model was reconstructed based on the computed tomography urography.
Traumatic ureteral injury is a rare and challenging condition of the urinary system. To summarize the clinical features of patients with traumatic ureteral injury and examine the literature on traumatic ureteral injuries from the past 20 years. The clinical data of 30 patients with traumatic ureteral injury in Peking University First Hospital, Beijing Jiangong Hospital, as well as Emergency General Hospital from August 2015 to August 2023 were retrospectively collected.

Methods: Twelve patients underwent robot-assisted redo ureteral reimplantation from December 2020 to May 2022 at double centers. Surgical procedures included anti-reflux dismembered submucosal tunnel reimplantation, anti-reflux dismembered nipple reimplantation, and anti-reflux non-dismembered submucosal tunnel reimplantation.
Objective: This study aims to analyze the classification characteristics of resilience in patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy using latent profile analysis and explore the influencing factors and their relationship with medical coping strategies.
Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 265 patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy at a tertiary Grade-A hospital in Guangzhou from November 2023 to March 2024, using the General Information Questionnaire, Resilience Scale Specific to Cancer (RS-SC), Lung Cancer Chemotherapy Symptom Cluster Assessment Questionnaire, and Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire (MCMQ). Latent profile analysis was performed using Mplus 8.
Background: The aim of this study was to report our technique and medium-term outcomes of modified robot-assisted laparoscopic dismembered pyeloplasty (RALDP) in the Lithotomy Trendelenburg position for treating adult ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) with horseshoe kidney (HSK).
Methods: Between March 2021 and March 2023, 11 adult patients with UPJO and HSK underwent modified RALDP in the lithotomy Trendelenburg position. Patient demographic characteristics, perioperative parameters, and follow-up outcomes were collected prospectively and analyzed.
Despite a high response rate in chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy for acute lymphocytic leukaemia (ALL), approximately 50% of patients relapse within the first year, representing an urgent question to address in the next stage of cellular immunotherapy. Here, to investigate the molecular determinants of ultralong CAR T cell persistence, we obtained a single-cell multi-omics atlas from 695,819 pre-infusion CAR T cells at the basal level or after CAR-specific stimulation from 82 paediatric patients with ALL enrolled in the first two CAR T ALL clinical trials and 6 healthy donors. We identified that elevated type 2 functionality in CAR T infusion products is significantly associated with patients maintaining a median B cell aplasia duration of 8.

Objective: To provide a comprehensive understanding of the clinical features of patients with synchronous and metachronous upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) and bladder urothelial carcinoma (BUC) and inform surgical and postoperative adjuvant treatment planning.
Patients And Method: A total of 292 consecutive patients with synchronous and metachronous UTUC-BUC were retrospectively enrolled and were categorized into three groups: (1) UTUC metachronous BUC (N = 185, UTUC-mBUC), (2) BUC-metachronous UTUC (N = 43, BUC-mUTUC), (3) synchronous UTUC-BUC (N = 64, sUTUC-BUC). We compared pathological characteristics and survival data among groups with Wilcoxon's rank sum tests, Pearson's chi-squared, and the Kaplan-Meier method.

Objective: To investigate the feasibility, safety and effectiveness of robot-assisted laparoscopic buccal mucosa graft ureteroplasty in the treatment of complex long proximal ureteral stricture.
Methods: The clinical data of 20 patients with proximal ureteral stricture undergoing robot-assisted laparoscopic buccal mucosa graft ureteroplasty admitted to the Department of Urology, Peking University First Hospital and Beijing Jiangong Hospital from July 2022 to January 2023 were prospectively collected and analyzed. Intraoperative conditions, postoperative complications and follow-up data were also recorded and analyzed.
Data on prevalence of programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) expression and its correlation with tumor biomarkers in Chinese patients with muscle-invasive urothelial bladder cancer (MIUBC) are scarce. We investigated the prevalence of PD-L1 expression, PD-L1 expression in tumor cells (TC) and immune cells (IC), and its correlation with tumor biomarkers (CD8+ T cells and tumor mutation burden [TMB]) in Chinese patients with newly diagnosed MIUBC (NCT03433924). Of 248 patients enrolled, 229 with PD-L1 data available were analysed.
