Electroreduction of CO to CO by solid oxide electrolysis cells (SOEC) is an effective means to realize carbon neutralization. However, the sluggish kinetics at SOEC fuel electrode impedes its further practical application. Herein, the doping strategy of cesium ion (Cs) is employed to develop a series of perovskite-type fuel electrode materials, i.

We sought to evaluate study-related digital access, preferences, and use among parents of patients with Medicaid insurance enrolled in research in a pediatric emergency department (ED).
Methods: We conducted a secondary analysis within a randomized trial at an academic pediatric ED.
Proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers powered by sustainable energy represent a cutting-edge technology for renewable hydrogen generation, while slow anodic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) kinetics still remains a formidable obstacle that necessitates basic comprehension for facilitating electrocatalysts' design. Here, we report a low-iridium complex oxide LaSrIrO with a unique hexagonal structure consisting of isolated Ir(V)O octahedra and true peroxide O groups as a highly active and stable OER electrocatalyst under acidic conditions. Remarkably, LaSrIrO, containing 59 wt % less iridium relative to the benchmark IrO, shows about an order of magnitude higher mass activity, 6-folds higher intrinsic activity than the latter, and also surpasses the state-of-the-art Ir-based oxides ever reported.

Research has shown exercising just below the exertion level that provokes symptoms can lead to more rapid recovery. However, youth often struggle to adhere to exercise recommendations following concussion.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAtom-centered neural network (ANN) potentials have shown high accuracy and computational efficiency in modeling atomic systems. A crucial step in developing reliable ANN potentials is the proper selection of atom-centered symmetry functions (ACSFs), also known as atomic features, to describe atomic environments. Inappropriate selection of ACSFs can lead to poor-quality ANN potentials.

We conducted a large-scale N3C cohort study to compare AKI incidence following COVID-19 vaccination and infection. Participants from December 2020 to August 2023 were divided into two groups based on their initially observed COVID-19 antigen exposure: COVID-19 vaccination group (n = 2,953,219) and COVID-19 infection group (n = 3,616,802).

It facilitates the transition of KRAS from inactive GDP-bound state to active GTP-bound state. The activation of KRAS triggers downstream signaling pathways, promoting tumor initiation and progression.

We sought to identify school and other contextual conditions associated with youth PA during the COVID-19 pandemic. A nationally representative, United States sample consisted of 500 parents of children ages 6-10 years old and 500 parent-child dyads with children and adolescents ages 11-17 years old who completed a web-based questionnaire.

Presently, ethylene oxide (EtO) is posing a significant threat to both human health and the environment due to occasional or deliberate emissions. However, few works so far have focused on this issue. It is urgent to explore novel and effective technology to protect against the threat of EtO.

Adolescents and young adults (AYAs) undergoing hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) are at risk for poor outcomes, yet there are limited behavioral interventions and no psychosocial biomarker data for this population. The Conserved Transcriptional Response to Adversity (CTRA) is an inflammation-related pattern observed in conditions of heightened stress and is associated with HCT outcomes.

Methods: 1. Patients with CKD stage 2-5 were selected to analyze the effect of lanthanum-containing preparations on CKD.
Objective: Parent behavior management training (BMT) is an evidence-based yet underutilized tool to treat children with ADHD and address related health disparities. This pilot study investigated the acceptability and feasibility of a novel, health behavior-, and technology-adapted BMT (LEAP) vs. standard BMT.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAngiogenesis plays a pivotal role in the progression and metastasis of solid cancers, including prostate cancer (PCa). While small extracellular vesicles derived from PCa cell lines induce a proangiogenic phenotype in vascular endothelial cells, the contribution of plasma exosomes from patients with PCa to this process remains unclear. Here, we successfully extracted and characterized plasma exosomes.

Developing resilience skills may help adolescents with T1D and elevated distress navigate common stressors and achieve positive outcomes.
Objective: To test the efficacy of the Promoting Resilience in Stress Management (PRISM) intervention on levels of hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), diabetes distress, self-management behaviors, resilience, and quality of life among adolescents.
Fragrant peanut oils (FPOs) are commonly defined as edible peanut oils having strong natural roasted peanut flavor without peculiar unpleasant odors and produced from peanut kernels through roasting/steaming and pressing operations, etc. The flavor of FPOs plays a crucial role in their acceptability and applications and their flavor profiles are an important factor in determining their overall quality. This paper presents a systematic literature review of recent advances and knowledge on FPOs, especially their flavors, in which it is focused on the evaluation of volatile compounds, the factors influencing the formation of flavor compounds, and formation mechanisms of those typical flavor compounds.

Methods: We conducted a meta-analysis of studies based on propensity score-matched cohorts to compare the surgical and oncological outcomes of LNU and ONU in UTUC patients. A literature search was conducted on PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library until July 12, 2023.
Background: Adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer are at risk of poor psychosocial outcomes. AYAs grew up with the internet and digital technology, and mobile Health (mHealth) psychosocial interventions have the potential to overcome care access barriers.
Objective: This pilot randomized controlled trial (RCT) aimed to establish the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of a fully automated mobile app version of the Promoting Resilience in Stress Management intervention (mPRISM).
