Background: Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are key regulators in the progression of various cancers. Abnormal DNA methylation patterns feature prominently in the regulation of the expression of tumor-related genes. This study is aimed at investigating the molecular mechanism of circ_0040809 affecting colorectal cancer (CRC) progression by regulating DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1).

Target detection in remote sensing images is very challenging research. Followed by the recent development of deep learning, the target detection algorithm has obtained large and fast growth. However, in the application of remote sensing images, due to the small target, wide range, small texture, and complex background, the existing target detection methods cannot achieve people's hope.

Introduction: Nasal packing after endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) is controversial. The aim of this systematic review was to compare absorbable packing versus no packing in wound healing after ESS for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis.
Data Source: English electronic databases, including Cochrane Library, EMBASE, MEDLINE, and PubMed, were searched, and only randomized controlled trials were included.
Background: The 3D printing technology in congenital cardiac surgery has been widely utilized to improve patients' understanding of their disease. However, there has been no randomized controlled study on its usefulness in surgical consent for congenital heart disease repair.
Methods: A randomized controlled study was performed during consent process in which guardians of candidates for ventricular septal defect repair were given detailed explanation of the anatomy, indication for surgery and potential complication and risks using 3D print ventricular septal defect model (n = 20) versus a conventional 2D diagram (n = 20).
Accumulating investigations illustrated that miRNA acts as a key regulator in tumor progression, whereas regulatory role of miR-96-5p in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is warranted. Thus, we sought to probe mechanism of miR-96-5p in this disease. Through bioinformatics analysis, miR-96-5p level in normal tissue and LUAD tissue in TCGA database were obtained.

In order to assist doctors in accurately diagnosing arrhythmia, an intelligent heartbeat classification system based on the selected optimal feature sets and AdaBoost + Random Forest model is developed. This system can acquire ECG signals through the Holter and transmit them to the cloud platform for preprocessing and feature extraction, and the features are input into AdaBoost + Random Forest for heartbeat classification.

However NOTCH2 gene mutations were rarely found in the Alagille patients. Little is known about the clinical and pathological profiles about Alagille patients with NOTCH2 mutation.

To explore the risk factors of malignant transformation of sinonasal inverted papilloma (SNIP), and to improve the accuracy of preoperative diagnosis of tumor. The clinical data of 89 patients with sinonasal inverted papilloma (SNIP group, n=60) and malignant transformation of sinonasal inverted papilloma (IP-SCC, =29) were analyzed retrospectively. Clinical symptoms, medical history, endoscopic examination, characteristic of sinonasal CT scan and MR imaging were collected and compared between two groups.

However, their common genetic and biologic features remain elusive. Here we interrogate a total of 165 antibodies from eight COVID-19 patients, and find that potent nAbs from different patients have disproportionally high representation of IGHV3-53/3-66 usage, and therefore termed as public antibodies.

Introduction: Chronic inflammation and tissue remodeling always occur together in chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays a critical role in airway remodeling.
Objective: Changes of epithelial cells in sinus mucosa in different subtypes of CRS, especially in eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, and the role of EMT and eosinophils (EOS) in airway remodeling are still unknown.

In recent years, deep learning (DNN) based methods have made leapfrogging level breakthroughs in detecting cardiac arrhythmias as the cost effectiveness of arithmetic power, and data size has broken through the tipping point. However, the inability of these methods to provide a basis for modeling decisions limits clinicians' confidence on such methods. In this paper, a Gate Recurrent Unit (GRU) and decision tree fusion model, referred to as (T-GRU), was designed to explore the problem of arrhythmia recognition and to improve the credibility of deep learning methods.

How the SARS-CoV-2 RNA genome is folded in the virion remains unknown. To fill the knowledge gap and facilitate structure-based drug development, we develop a virion RNA in situ conformation sequencing technology, named vRIC-seq, for probing viral RNA genome structure unbiasedly.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTransition-metal-catalyzed directed C-H functionalization has emerged as a powerful and straightforward tool to construct C-C bonds and C-N bonds. Among these processes, the intramolecular annulative alkene hydroarylation reaction has received much attention because this intramolecular annulation can produce more complex and high value-added structural motifs found in numerous natural products and bioactive molecules. Despite remarkable progress, these annulative protocols developed to date remain limited to hydroarylation and functionalization of one side of alkenes, thus largely limiting the structural diversity and complexity.

Owing to the high energy demand of nerve cells, glucose is actively oxidized to produce ATP and has a synergistic effect with mitochondria in metabolic pathways. The dysfunction of glucose metabolism inevitably disturbs the normal functioning of neurons, which is widely observed in neurodegenerative disease.

Due to the incorporation of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), previously reported AuNP-based FRET nanoflares still have some problems, such as non-negligible cytotoxicity and a time-consuming preparation procedure. In this communication, a novel AuNP-free FRET nanoflare for intracellular ATP imaging is developed based on a DNA nanostructure, which is self-assembled through cyclic U-type hybridization only involving a certain number of DNA strands.

In recent years, many studies based on ECG have achieved good results, most of which are based on single-label problems; one record corresponds to one label. However, in actual clinical applications, an ECG record may contain multiple diseases at the same time.
