Solar evaporation contributes to sustainable and environmentally friendly production of fresh water from seawater and wastewater. However, poor salt resistance and high degree of corrosion of traditional evaporators in brine make their implementation in real applications scarce. To overcome such deficiency, a polyanionic electrolyte functionalization strategy empowering excellent uniform desalination performance over extended periods of time is exploited.

In particular, the responses and functions of fungal community exposing to surfactants remain largely unknown. In this study, the roles of dodecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (DDBAC, cationic), linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS, anionic) and Triton X-100 (TX, nonionic) surfactants on the lignocellulosic anaerobic co-digestion were investigated.

Variations in the chemical composition across different muscle types play a crucial role in determining meat quality, particularly with regard to flavor. Therefore, it is essential to study the variations in chemical composition among different muscle types in lamb, as well as the mechanisms behind their formation, aiming to understand the flavor variation across the muscle types.

Understanding how factors, especially functional genes, affect N transformations is essential for the protection and restoration of forest ecosystems. To uncover the underlying mechanisms driving soil N mineralization, this study investigated the effects of edaphic environments, substrates, and soil microbial assemblages on net soil N mineralization in boreal forests.

Methods: Clinical data of 52 patients with trigeminal neuralgia treated with PBC were retrospectively analyzed.
The primary aim of this research was to explore the functions of Wtap and Ythdf1 in regulating neuronal Lipocalin-2 (Lcn2) through m6A modification in traumatic brain injury (TBI). By employing transcriptome sequencing and enrichment analysis, we identified the Wtap/Ythdf1-mediated Lcn2 m6A modification pathway as crucial in TBI. In our in vitro experiments using primary cortical neurons, knockout of Wtap and Ythdf1 led to the inhibition of Lcn2 m6A modification, resulting in reduced neuronal death and inflammation.

However, their low abundance required specific enrichment. Herein, through rational design and controllable synthesis, we developed a novel multi-functional polymer for the isolation of protein glycosylation.

Catalytic ozone (O) decomposition is a promising technology for curbing indoor O pollution, whereas its application is limited by the stability and moisture resistance of heterogeneous catalysts. Ag-Hollandite is a capable solution, but its facile synthesis still lacks systematic investigation. In this study, Ag-Hollandite catalysts were prepared using AgMnO as the precursor by reflux (AMO-Re), hydrothermal (AMO-HT), and homogeneous (AMO-HR) methods, respectively.

Bis-terpyridyl Ru(II) complexes exhibit a promising achiral structure but suffer from low photoreactivity due to deviation from the ideal octahedral geometry. Herein, we introduce the donor-acceptor-donor motif to construct a dinuclear bis-terpyridyl Ru(II) complex ().
