Primary non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) occurring in the cauda equina region within the spinal canal is exceedingly rare. It is characterized by severe clinical symptoms, a high rate of misdiagnosis, rapid progression, poor prognosis, and significant metastasis potential. In this paper, we report 1 case of a 58-year-old female with primary NHL and another case of a 69-year-old male with secondary NHL.

Recently, dual-metal catalysts have attracted much attention due to their abundant active sites and tunable chemical properties. On the other hand, metal borides have been widely applied in splitting the inert chemical bonds in small molecules (such as N) because of their excellent catalytic performances. As a combination of the above two systems, in this work, 11 kinds of transition metal atoms (TM = Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mo, and W) were selected to embed in boron-doped graphene (BG) to construct 66 dual-metal-boron systems, and their performances toward the N reduction reaction (NRR) were examined using first-principles simulations.

Background: Bipolar disorder is a complex polygenic disorder that is characterized by recurrent episodes of depression and mania, the heterogeneity of which is likely complicated by epigenetic modifications that remain to be elucidated.

Methods: We performed transcriptomic analysis of peripheral blood RNA from monozygotic (MZ) twins discordant for bipolar disorder to identify disease-associated differentially expressed long noncoding RNAs (DE-lncRNAs), which were further validated in the PsychENCODE brain RNA-seq dataset. We then performed behavioral tests, electrophysiological assays, chromatin immunoprecipitation, and PCR to investigate the function of DE-lncRNAs in the mouse and cell models.

More and more evidence shows that small noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) play diverse roles in development, stress response and other cellular processes, but functional study of intermediate-size ncRNAs is still rare. Here, the expression profile of 16 intermediate-size ncRNAs in ovary and testis of silkworm Bombyx mori were analyzed. Twelve ncRNAs, including 5 small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs) and 7 unclassified ncRNAs, accumulated more in the testis than in the ovary of silkworm, especially Bm-163, Bm-51 and Bm-68.

In symmetry-adapted perturbation theory (SAPT), accurate calculations on non-covalent interaction (NCI) for large complexes with more than 50 atoms are time-consuming using large basis sets. More efficient ones with smaller basis sets usually result in poor prediction in terms of dispersion and overall energies. In this study, we propose two composite methods with baseline calculated at SAPT2/aug-cc-pVDZ and SAPT2/aug-cc-pVTZ with dispersion term corrected at SAPT2+ level using bond functions and smaller basis set with MP2 corrections respectively.

Many types of cancer cells, including colorectal cancer cells (CRC), can simultaneously enhance glycolysis and repress the mitochondrial tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, which is called the Warburg effect. A high recurrence rate of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) following chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR T) cell treatment remains a bottleneck, and immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) compromising CAR T cell efficacy in NHL is the primary cause of relapse.
