Background: Given the dynamism and heterogeneity of COVID-19 transmission patterns, determining the most effective yet timely strategies for specific regions remains a severe challenge for public health decision-makers.

Methods: In this work, we proposed a spatiotemporal connectivity analysis method for discovering transmission patterns across geographic locations and age-groups throughout different COVID-19 outbreak phases. First, we constructed the transmission networks of the confirmed cases during different phases by considering the spatiotemporal connectivity of any two cases.

Identifying Key Opinion Leaders in Social Media via Modality-Consistent Harmonized Discriminant Embedding.

The digital age has empowered brands with new and more effective targeted marketing tools in the form of key opinion leaders (KOLs). Because of the KOLs' unique capability to draw specific types of audience and cultivate long-term relationship with them, correctly identifying the most suitable KOLs within a social network is of great importance, and sometimes could govern the success or failure of a brand's online marketing campaigns. However, given the high dimensionality of social media data, conducting effective KOL identification by means of data mining is especially challenging.

Evidence of rapid gender processing revealed by ERSP.

In this research, we used EEG signals to analyze gender processing with the ERSP method. Not only facial images, but also images of clothing and shoes, were used. We applied the ICA method to obtain a gender-related component which appeared quite significant in the majority of electrode sites for the occipital lobe.
