Purpose: The aim of the study reveals a new intuitive method for preoperatively assessing defect ratio in glenoid deficiency based on the native glenoid width and the bare spot.
Methods: A linear relationship, i.e.
Objective: The maximum bone length available for coracoid process transfer varies among individuals, while no preoperative guideline has been developed for predicting the safety margin (SM) in Latarjet shoulder reconstruction. The aim of the study was to evaluate the 3D MRI proton density (PD)-weighted sampling perfection with application-optimized contrasts using different flip-angle evolution (SPACE) sequence in preoperatively predicting SM for coracoid transfer.
Methods: The post-multiplanar reconstructed images were obtained from 24 volunteers (17 males, seven females) to determine the clarity and sensitivity of the PD-SPACE-COR and PD-SPACE-FS-COR protocols.
The formation and accumulation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) have been associated with aging and the development, or worsening, of many degenerative diseases, such as atherosclerosis, chronic kidney disease, and diabetes. AGEs can accumulate in a variety of cells and tissues, and organs in the body, which in turn induces oxidative stress and inflammatory responses and adversely affects human health. In addition, under abnormal pathological conditions, AGEs create conditions that are not conducive to stem cell differentiation.

The amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency response equations of the main resonance of the system are determined by the harmonic balance method. The amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency response equations of the steady solution to the system under the combined action of parametric excitation and forced excitation are obtained by using the average method, and the stability conditions of the steady solution are obtained based on Lyapunov's first method.

Methods: This is a retrospective study. A total of 63 patients (126 knees) scheduled for one-stage knee surgery due to osteoarthritis of both knees were selected, and all patients underwent one-stage mobile platform UKA and TKA of the other knee.
Objective: To establish and validate an intact rotator cuff rat model for exploring the pathophysiological effects of type 2 diabetes on the rotator cuff tendon .
Methods: A total of 45 adult male rats were randomly divided into a control group (n = 9) and type 2 diabetes group (n=36). The rats were sacrificed at 2 weeks (T2DM-2w group, n=9), 4 weeks (T2DM-4w group, n=9), 8 weeks (T2DM-8w group, n=9), and 12 weeks (T2DM-12w group, n=9) after successful modeling of type 2 diabetes.
Joint disorders have become a global health issue with the growth of the aging population. Screening small active molecules targeting chondrogenic differentiation of bone marrow-derived stem cells (BMSCs) is of urgency. In this study, microfracture was employed to create a regenerative niche in rabbits (n = 9).

Methods: The general data of 861 patients (training set) who received SBTKA in The Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University between January 1, 2012 and March 31, 2017 were retrospectively analyzed.
Serine beta-lactamase-like protein (LACTB) is the only mammalian mitochondrial homolog evolved from penicillin-binding proteins and β-lactamases (PBP-βLs) in bacteria. LACTB, an active-site serine protease, polymerizes into stable filaments, which are localized to the intermembrane space (IMS) of mitochondrion and involved in the submitochondrial organization, modulating mitochondrial lipid metabolism. Cancer pathogenesis and progression are relevant to the alterations in mitochondrial metabolism.

Methods: This is a single-center, prospective, randomized controlled trial. From September 2017 to April 2019, 78 patients underwent arthroscopic debridement (35 patients) or repair (43 patients) due to Ellman grade II bursal-side partial-thickness rotator cuff tears.

In order to quantitatively describe the effect of the initial grain orientation on the inhomogeneous deformation of 304 austenitic stainless steel foil during tension, a three-dimensional uniaxial tension model was established, based on the crystal plasticity finite element method (CPFEM) and Voronoi polyhedron theory. A three-dimensional representative volume element (RVE) was used to simulate the slip deformation of 304 stainless steel foil with five typical grain orientations under the same engineering strain. The simulation results show that the number and characteristics of active slip systems and the deformation degree of the grain are different due to the different initial grain orientations.
