Cadmium Exposure and Osteoporosis: A Population-Based Study and Benchmark Dose Estimation in Southern China.

This study aimed to assess the association between osteoporosis and long-term environmental Cd exposure through diet in southern China. A total of 1116 subjects from a Cd-polluted area and a non-Cd-polluted area were investigated. All subjects met the criteria of having been living in the investigated area for more than 15 years and lived on a subsistence diet of rice and vegetables grown in that area.

Nontyphoidal Salmonella Infection, Guangdong Province, China, 2012.

We used active and passive surveillance to estimate nontyphoidal Salmonella (NTS) infection during 2012 in Guangdong Province, China. Under passive surveillance, for every reported NTS infection, an estimated 414.8 cases occurred annually.

Comparison of Efficacy Between Endoscopic Cyclophotocoagulation and Alternative Surgeries in Refractory Glaucoma: A Meta-analysis.

Refractory glaucoma refers to uncontrolled intraocular pressure (IOP) despite anti-glaucoma medication and surgical treatment, which remains a challenge to be treated. The objective of this study is to evaluate and statistically compare the clinical efficacy between endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation (ECP) and alternative surgical techniques in the treatment of refractory glaucoma in this article, as a meta-analysis. Data sources are China Biomedical Database (Sinomed, online version), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Cqvip, Wanfang database, and PubMed.
