Background: With advancements in imaging testing and surgical procedures, an increasing number of nodules with smaller diameters and deeper locations have been deemed suitable for surgical intervention. The preoperative localization of these nodules has become essential. In this retrospective single-center study, we aimed to compare the effectiveness and patient comfort associated with the use of a four-hook needle versus a hook-wire needle for preoperative localization.

Understanding the complex interplay between alkali metal doping, structural modifications, and their impact on performance remains a crucial challenge. In this study, this challenge is addressed by investigating the synthesis and properties of Rb-doped perovskite oxides.

Background: Posterior mediastinal leiomyosarcoma is an extremely rare malignant mesenchymal tumor with no special clinical symptoms, which is easily confused with some common tumors in the posterior mediastinum, affecting the accuracy of the first diagnosis by clinicians and delaying the treatment of patients.
Case Summary: We report a 59-year-old woman with a space-occupying lesion in the posterior mediastinum. The patient was mistakenly diagnosed with lumbar muscle or vertebral body lesions due to chest and back pain and underwent conservative treatment, but her symptoms did not improve significantly and she gradually developed pain in both lower limbs.
Background: The molecular targets and associated mechanisms of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have been widely studied, but the roles of PDZK1 in HCC are unclear. Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore the role and associated mechanisms of PDZK1 in HCC.
Results: It was found that the expression of PDZK1 in HCC tissues was higher than that in paired paracancerous tissues.
Hypopigmented mycosis fungoides is a rare form of mycosis fungoides that is characterized by achromic lesions, early onset of disease, a predilection for darker skinned populations, and a predominance of CD8+ T cells. Due to the rarity and heterogeneous presentation of hypopigmented mycosis fungoides, there are no criteria that clearly define the clinical characteristics and treatment regimens for this condition. This retrospective study of 44 paediatric patients with hypopigmented mycosis fungoides aimed to summarize their epidemiological and clinical characteristics and assess the effectiveness and safety of different treatment regimens.

We retrospectively screened and analyzed patients with pathologically confirmed SCLC from April 2015 to December 2021. A total of 167 patients with SCLC were included.

Uveitis is a rare adverse event of dupilumab, that typically affects both eyes and often leads to discontinuation of therapy. In this article, we report a case of a 28-year-old female with atopic dermatitis who developed new-onset iridocyclitis, a form of uveitis, in her left eye 2 weeks after starting dupilumab treatment, which improved after reducing the dose, without discontinuing dupilumab. The patient also experienced asymptomatic hypereosinophilia, possibly related to dupilumab, which was gradually relieved without discontinuation.

However, no report shows the relationship between the descending bronchus and the artery crossing intersegmental planes. Thus, the purpose of the present study was to analyze the branching pattern of the pulmonary artery and bronchus in LSDS using three-dimensional computed tomography bronchography and angiography (3D-CTBA) and to explore the associated pulmonary anatomical features of the artery crossing intersegmental planes.

However, vitiligo is now recognized as more than just a skin disease, what a dermatologist observes as a white spot of skin is just the "tip of the iceberg" of the condition. We attempt to clarify the classification of comorbidities associated with vitiligo from various reviews and reports, and describe their possible pathogenesis.

However, the definite pathological diagnosis and the potential mechanism remained unidentified. We presented a severe cutaneous vascular lesion manifested as diffuse erythema with ulceration and necrosis over the limbs in a female patient with metastatic paraganglioma.

By analyzing the data from 234 middle-level managers and 686 junior managers/employees, we found that top managers' temporal leadership was positively associated with middle-level managers' temporal leadership through the mediating role of middle-level managers' temporal leadership perspective and that the relationship was moderated by middle-level managers' identification with the top manager. Identification with the top manager, in particular, strengthens both the top manager's positive effect on middle-level managers' temporal leadership and the top manager's temporal leadership's mediating role in this relationship through their temporal leadership perspective.

This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tofacitinib combined with narrowband ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) phototherapy for refractory nonsegmental vitiligo. Fifteen patients with nonsegmental vitiligo resistant to conventional therapies were administered oral tofacitinib at 5 mg twice daily plus topical halometasone cream, tacrolimus 0.

Methods And Results: Eighteen patients with acute successful RFCA near the AVN were included in this study. Systematic mapping was performed with two mapping methods: antegrade mapping technique (group A) and reversed C curve mapping technique (group R).
Objective: Lung cancer is a malignancy with high a mortality rate that threatens human health. This study is aimed to explore the correlation among the triglyceride/high-density lipoprotein ratio (TG/HDL-C), non-high-density lipoprotein/high-density lipoprotein ratio (non-HDL-C/HDL-C) and survival of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) undergoing video-associated thoracic surgery (VATS).
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 284 patients with NSCLC who underwent VATS at Hebei General Hospital, Shijiazhuang, China.
Objective: The advanced lung cancer inflammation index (ALI) can predict the survival of patients with lung cancer and other malignancies. However, the prognostic significance of ALI in neuroblastoma has not been reported. This study aimed to evaluate the correlation between ALI and neuroblastoma patient prognosis.
