Surface roughness is a crucial factor that affects the flotation performance of minerals. In this study, the effect of sulfuric acid corrosion on the surface roughness of calcite flotation was investigated through microflotation tests, scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and contact angle analysis. Microflotation test results show that sulfuric acid treatment has a serious negative effect on the floatability of calcite.

Objective: Secondary caries caused by oral microbiome dysbiosis and hybrid layer degradation are two important contributors to the poor resin-dentin bond durability. Cavity cleansers with long-term antimicrobial and anti-proteolytic activities are in demand for eliminating bacteria-induced secondary caries and preventing hybrid layers from degradation. The objectives of the present study were to examine the long-term antimicrobial effect and anti-proteolytic potential of poly(amidoamine) dendrimers with amino terminal groups (PAMAM-NH) cavity cleanser.

We report a mixed-dimensional heterostructure to synchronously enhance charge separation and light-absorption of the photoanodes the introduction of two-dimensional reduced graphene oxide and zero-dimensional CuSbS quantum dots on one-dimensional TiO arrays. The experimental results show that the graphene sheets with a low Fermi level and a superior electron mobility accept photo-excited electrons from TiO and enable fast electron transportation; while the CuSbS quantum dots promote the visible light-absorption of the photoanode.

Sensitivity, durability, and multifunction are the essential requirements for a high-performance wearable sensor. Here, we report a novel multifunctional sensor with high sensitivity and durability by using a buckled spider silk-like single-walled carbon nanotubes (SSL-SWNTs) film as the conducting network and a crack-shaped Au film as the sensitive transducer. Its high sensitivity is inspired by the crack-shaped structure of the spider's slit organs, while the high durability is inspired by the mechanical robustness of the spider silk.
