The title complex, [Cu(2)(C(13)H(18)N(2)O(3))(2)]·C(3)H(6)O, has been synthesized by the reaction of copper(II) acetate monohydrate with 5,5'-bis-(diethyl-amino)-2,2'-[ethyl-enedioxy-bis(nitrilo-methyl-idyne)]diphenol, where one of the N-O bonds of the ligand was cleaved during the reaction. The complex mol-ecule has a μ-dialkoxo-bridged binuclear structure with both Cu(II) centers exhibiting a square-planar coordination geometry.
