Background: Home-based exercise (HBE) represents an alternative to increase the accessibility of rehabilitation programs and relieve the burden on the health care system for people with knee osteoarthritis.

Objectives: To summarize for the first time the effectiveness of HBE as compared to center-based exercise (CBE), both with and without HBE, on patient-reported and performance-based outcomes in people with KOA.

Methods: Searches were conducted on PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, Web of Science, and Scopus until March 10, 2023, without date or language restrictions.

To explore the immunogenetic predisposition of hematological-related diseases, herein, a multi-center retrospective study in China was conducted, analyzing and comparing 2519 patients with hematopathy (mainly, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, aplastic anemia, and myelodysplastic syndrome) to 18,108 individuals without known pathology.

[Effects of organic fertilizer on soil environment and yield of tomato under year-round cultivation].

The early-spring and autumn-winter tomato in greenhouse is the main planting patterns of protected vegetable in North China. Taking the customary fertilization amount of farmers under this planting pattern as control (CK, 100% chemical fertilizer), six organic fertilizer replacing chemical fertilizer treatments were set, namely, 15% (T), 30% (T), 45% (T), 60% (T), 75% (T), 100% organic fertilizer (T), to examine the replacing effects on soil environment and tomato yield. [Effects of purified humic acid on the growth and nitrogen metabolism of cucumber seedlings under nitrogen stress.].

To investigate the effects of purified humic acid (PHA) on the growth and nitrogen metabolism of cucumber under different levels of nitrogen stress and to explore the mechanism of PHA's alleviation on abiotic stress, we examined the effects of PHA on 'Xintaimici' cucumber growth and nitrogen metabolism under low nitrogen (1.0 mmol·L NO) stress and high nitrogen (101 mmol·L NO) stress in hydroponics compared with normal level (11 mmol·L NO). The results showed that the growth of cucumber seedlings was inhibited under nitrogen stress treatments.

Combined application of diclofenac and celecoxib with an opioid yields superior efficacy in metastatic bone cancer pain: a randomized controlled trial.

Background: Metastatic bone cancer pain is one of the most common clinical cancer pains and is caused by many factors. This study was conducted to explore the clinical efficacy of using two non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) along with an opioid in treating metastatic bone cancer pain.

Material And Method: A total of 342 patients with a pain score of 7-10 on the visual analog scale (VAS) were recruited for 4 weeks of treatment and randomly assigned to three different groups-one group received two NSAIDs (diclofenac and celecoxib), one group received diclofenac, and one group received celecoxib.

Traditional Chinese medicinal herbs combined with epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor for advanced non-small cell lung cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) targeted treatment has been a standard therapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), but it is not tolerated well by all patients. Vasculogenic mimicry (VM) formation is important for invasion and metastasis of tumor cells in gastric adenocarcinoma (GAC). The present study aimed to investigate the association between signal transducer and activator of transcription-3 (STAT3), phosphor-STAT3 (p-STAT3), hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) and VM formation in GAC, and discuss their clinical significance and correlation with the prognosis of patients with GAC. The expression levels of STAT3, p-STAT3, HIF-1α and VM were assessed in 60 cases of patients with GAC and 20 cases of patients with gastritis on tissue microarrays by immunohistochemical methods.
