In this study, it is shown for the first time that a reduced graphene oxide (rGO) carrier has a 20-fold higher catalysis rate than graphene oxide in Ag reduction. Based on this, a tumor microenvironment-enabled in situ silver-based electrochemical oncolytic bioreactor (SEOB) which switched Ag prodrugs into in situ therapeutic silver nanoparticles with and above 95% transition rate is constructed to inhibit the growths of various tumors. In this SEOB-enabled intratumoral nanosynthetic medicine, intratumoral H O and rGO act as the reductant and the catalyst, respectively.

Adult brain activities are generally believed to be dominated by chemical and electrical transduction mechanisms. However, the importance of mechanotransduction mediated by mechano-gated ion channels in brain functions is less appreciated. Here, we show that the mechano-gated Piezo1 channel is expressed in the exploratory processes of astrocytes and utilizes its mechanosensitivity to mediate mechanically evoked Ca responses and ATP release, establishing Piezo1-mediated mechano-chemo transduction in astrocytes.

FoxP3 is an essential transcription factor (TF) for immunologic homeostasis, but how it utilizes the common forkhead DNA-binding domain (DBD) to perform its unique function remains poorly understood. We here demonstrated that unlike other known forkhead TFs, FoxP3 formed a head-to-head dimer using a unique linker (Runx1-binding region [RBR]) preceding the forkhead domain. Head-to-head dimerization conferred distinct DNA-binding specificity and created a docking site for the cofactor Runx1.

Background: A prognostic model of ferroptosis associated with long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma was established by using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, and immune correlation analysis was conducted for patients classified into high- and low-risk groups by the model. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is associated with many lncRNA gene mutations, and tumors are often closely related to metabolism, accompanied by obvious characteristics of immune infiltration.

Estuarine wetlands, which typically store large amounts of phosphorus (P), are experiencing increased salinity as well as changed environmental factors caused by rising sea levels. In this study, the seasonal dynamics of P speciation, availability, and biogeochemical couplings with iron (Fe)-sulfur (S) in soil and porewater were measured in a low-salinity estuarine wetland using in situ high-resolution diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) and dialysis (HR-Peeper) techniques.
